West

The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

The lion did as she expected. He thought her scared, hiding in the corner because she was too frozen to do anything else. She saw the flash of victory in his eyes even as he launched at her, ready to end the fight right here and now. But she had a plan and she utilized it. She lured him into the corner, using the pole at her back and the ropes at her sides to aide her as she dodged at the last minute, sacrificing a slice in her ear as she made her escape and got ready to retaliate. The lion's momentum pulled him right into the pole. That had to hurt. She heard his cry ring out and that was her moment to strike. She dashed in and latched onto his back leg but was quick to withdraw, knowing even though he was hurt, he was still very much dangerous. She watched his leg pull up to strike out in a powerful kick even as she danced out of reach. She felt a little spark of triumph as he turned to her slower, favoring that back leg. He looked irritated, and tired. Everything was working out for her, at least so far.

She wouldn't get cocky though. He was still much bigger and more powerful. He could still take her out of this fight. She watched carefully as he started toward her. His gait was different this time, more filled with purpose. He wasn't even bothering to stalk her as he did before. No, he was ready to end the fight this time. Her lips twitched a little in amusement, her eyes sparking. He was planning on straight up cornering her this time, no momentum to throw him off, just straight up close quarters and holding her down till she said "uncle." Well, in his own ripping claws and shredding jaws sort of way. She backed up once more, luring him as she did before. She knew just being quick wouldn't save her this time. He was taking his time more, able to watch every little movement. She would have to be witty just as much as she was quick. She waited till he was still out of reach and turned her body just enough to keep a good eye on him while being able to see her target.

Then in one swift motion, she leapt up, using the limber ropes to propel her up to the top of the pole. She then turned to face the lion, her limbs coiled and ready. As he lunged in for her, she leapt, aiming to put good height into her leap so she wouldn't fall right into his jaws. Sure that he had great height on himself, she knew just going straight up wouldn't help matters so she leapt from an angle, jumping to the rope beside her first before launching so she would be angled to go over his shoulder. He would only have a split second to launch at her so he would probably go straight up but even if he snapped his jaws to the side, she should be able to get past him. She aimed to come down over his shoulder and onto his back. From there, she would use her claws to anchor her down his back as she slid until she reached his flanks. From there, she bit down, aiming to grab the flesh right over one of his hips and rip into it before launching herself from his back.

She knew it would only be a second before he swung around and grabbed her with his mouth so she acted quickly, knowing that staying out of reach of his jaws and claws was her only chance at survival. She launched herself straight backwards, aiming to come down to the mat behind him and then turn back to face him, backing herself up toward the other corner to see the results of this more daring move.
