The western part of the city is often home to the poorer residents. Here there is a grunginess that permeates the town from the graffiti on the once cleaned brick buildings to the broken and unmaintained architecture. Crime runs high within the western half of town, making it the home of supernatural gangs of illicit activities. Such activities are rarely reported, however, and most residents are distrustful of individual's of authorities, and often let the powerful supernatural beings sort things out amongst themselves. Be careful wandering the Western streets after the sun falls.

Just like any city - Sacrosanct is not without it's deep, dark underbelly. Hidden in the graffiti-ridden streets of the West, behind closed warehouse doors, lies the Black Market. Forever moving, it's nearly impossible to find without knowing someone who knows someone. Anything you desire can be brought for a hefty price within the Black Market - be it drugs, weapons, or lives.
Hidden within the dark alleyways of the Western Ward, Cull & Pistol is a dim, often smoky bar. With a small variety of bottled and craft beers, Cull & Pistol is a quaint little neighborhood joint. With its no-frills moto, the dingy bar offers little more than liquor, music from an old jukebox, and a few frequently occupied pool tables.
Bartender Raylin Chike
Resting upon the harbor, Noah's Ark (known simply as The Ark) is a sleek superyacht known both for its fight rings and recent...renovations, of sorts. Accessible from an entrance hidden in the shadows, The Ark is a veritable Were-playground that specializes in fighting tournaments for all creatures great and small. With both singles and doubles tournaments to compete in, the title of Ark Champion is hotly contested amongst the Were population. If anything illegal is going on in the city it's sure to be happening within the back rooms or behind the ring-side bar.
Note: This is a Were only establishment. All other species will be swiftly escorted out.

Within the turbulent industrial district lies this club. The warehouse doesn't look like much on the outside but it provides a memorable experience from the state of the art lighting, offbeat Victorian-inspired artwork, comfortable black leather lounges, and the infamous 'black light' room. There is a wide variety of alcohol that lines the shelves of both of the magical and ordinary variety. It is a common stomping ground for the supernatural who want to let loose and dance the night away to the music that floods the establishment. Humans are most welcome if they dare.

Those powers that assaulted Mira were nothing but stifling, the she-wolf unable to react to something she could not even see. Yet she would not simply accept and submit to it, she had to do something. The woman nothing short than a fighter, willing to die in order to defy those odds. It was then that she relied on those other senses, those she could control. Like listening, using those black triangle shaped ears, focusing on those sounds with an intentness, like her opponents breath, movements and the sound of Alexis' adept arrows slicing through the air to meet her aid. How grateful she was of that she-fox at the moment, and how surprisingly efficient she was as dismantling these unrelenting enemies even without knowing just who was attacking. It was a very us vs. them mentality. Those arrows had proven successful though and it relieved Mira of that blinding power... at least for long enough.
Mira's cloud of noxious ash swirled around her, a suffocating force field that acted as a visual barrier and something far more nefarious as it built before the true assault. Mira could control it, at least so it hardly brought harm onto herself or Alexis. In truth, she wasn't even sure if it could harm her but she didn't want to tempt fate any more than she had tonight. She suffocated those remaining wolves that would have hardly let up if even given an inch. An inch she wouldn't give to them, no, not now. The sounds of them dying floods her ears, that sound horrifying and satisfying all at once. She waited a moment longer of the sound of their silence, once she was sure the threat was over... did Mira allow that ash to finally settle and the sea air to clear. That breeze making short work of it without Mira actively directing it anymore. A sigh of relief escaped her... watching the remaining shadows of those retreating forms. It was then she knew for sure that they wouldn't be back. At least not for some time..
The she-wolf's molten form began to darken, that lava hardly needing away out as she cooled. Soon that form would be replaced by that obsidian thick fur that Alexis would most know her by. "You can call me impressed. I'll be fine. The past has a way of biting you in the ass, no matter where you go... Except, you didn't have to stay and fight, they were my burden, not yours..." She said resolutely and meant every word. That did not diminish just how grateful Mira was in that very moment for the presence of the versatile fox.
Recognition entered her voice then as Mira moved closer toward her packmate. The scent was unmistakable.. "You are bleeding.." That concern laced within that very voice ringing within her companions mind. Yet Alexis seemed unflappable, if it hurt she hardly let it show. Putting the pack in danger from her own sordid past felt so very wrong... seeing that blood streaming down the she-foxes arms.. Mira could hardly suppress that very guilt that overtook her then. One thing for certain, without the slightest doubt in Mira's mind was that she owed that woman that stood before her.
Alexis hardly seemed bothered, mentioning she could find some way to even the score, meeting Mira with a smirk. If human, Mira would have offered her one back, but that very look seemed to mirror in her blazing golden eyes instead. How stark a contrast those eyes were against the shadowy hue of her coat. "You know where I live.." She teased even though she fully intended to make it up to the she-fox.
Alexis declared her intent of what she wanted to do in that moment. Mira could hardly fault her. But she also took it as a signal of Alexis taking her leave. Which was fine, Mira fully intended to take care of that mess from that very battle that transpired moments before. "That sounds good, I think I will do the same in a little bit. Thanks again Alexis. I'd hate to think what would happen if you weren't here." She admitted genuinely. She had a lot to think about. The she-wolf knew it wasn't the end of those wolves coming from her.. perhaps one day her previous alpha himself would show his face to see to it himself. How she both feared and welcomed that day... perhaps then it would be finally over, regardless of the outcome. "You can find me at the bar sometime if you want.. I run it and I make a mean cocktail if I do say so myself." Alexis was one of the very few that was able to escape being a guinea pig when she was learning those very drinks. Now she had quite a few drinks within her arsenal she was sure she could whip up something the fox would appreciate. Hell... she bled for her, fought for her.. the least she could do was make her a damn good drink. "I'm going to hold back here for a few minutes... clean up or something. I need a second to turn down the heat." She would hold it together.. swallowing down those emotions that seemed to rattle loose within her.
Mira wasn't in any hurry to find herself inside that ship, at least not until she sliced away a moment alone to be. The attack upon her shaken her, far more than she wanted to admit. She doubted her enemies would return so soon, not after a loss like that... with the waves crashing upon that rocky shore, she felt it best she remains out here, at least until the lava cooled and she could return to her former shape. Once she was sure Alexis had left, she turned to face the ocean that seemed to mirror her very tumultuous heart. The she wolf drew forth the cool soothing spray of the salty ocean, something about it felt healing even though it opposed the very molten that slid through her veins.
Somehow, she knew.. knew within her gut that this life was too good to be true, a family.. a home.. a place of belonging. How those shadows seemed to lick upon her mind then, seeping in far more into those crevices than she wanted to admit. Sorrow, it truly had a way of sneaking up on you when you least expected it and tonight was no exception.
