For a thief, she wasn't too aware of her surroundings not to know he'd snuck up on her. Maybe she wasn't used to getting caught, or she was just too desperate for the money. The last thought made him sad. Just on first impression, the woman seemed too proud to take any money from him if he offered, so maybe it wouldn't be such a bad thing to allow her to keep the money she stole, instead. When she finally saw him, the woman hardly seemed impressed. She agreed when he said the man she stole from probably wouldn't miss the money. His lips quirked up in humor as she said the man would probably just write it off as charity. He tilted his head as she gave her own thoughts on the picture, though, saying it was probably placed by the woman in the picture to remind the man of his loyalty. "Is that why women do that? I thought it was in case we forget a bookmark." He watched then as she retrieved the wallet and held it out to him, though his fingers stopped short when she curled it back toward her to ask how he was going to give it back. He smirked. "Who said I was going to hand it to him? He might just come across it on his windshield or something. Who knows where it might have been lost?" Waiting for her reaction, he slowly took it when she offered it again. She gave her name as Nadya and he gave a more genuine smile. "I'm Taylor." |
