East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

You Gave Me Blood; Gianni

Tonight had already proven to be an interesting one. I knocked boots, fed, maimed, met a witch, and now I was downtown looking for an expensive store that would provide me with dapper additions to my extensive wardrobe. This suit now had to either be tossed in the rubbish or dry cleaned. Blood stains were so hard to get out. Loafers clicked softly against the stone and pavement of the streets, my eyes trailing lazily over buildings and other people. I enjoyed people watching, but I felt a bit out of sorts with my clothing being in the state that they were. Aside from the silk blue shirt, the rest was black, so it wasn't like the stains stood out like a sore thumb, but I knew they were there, and that was all that mattered.

I found a store near the heart of downtown that had a few male mannequins in the window. Each one had either a beautiful suit or tux on. This was my kind of establishment. I opened the door, a gentle chime ringing above my head, and slipped into the brightly lit, but comfortable-feeling store. There was only one other gentleman in the store, and by the smell of him he was a human. He had chestnut brown hair that was starting to gray around the temples. Fair enough to look at, not someone I would kick out of bed, but I probably wouldn't persuade him either. Just for fun, I let my manipulation slide into his mind, my left blue eye turning black as the darkest reaches of the oceans. He was full of pride, full of confidence. There was hardly a weakness locked inside that mind of his.

I smirked ever so slightly as I let him taste insecurity. He stopped fiddling with the lapel of his blazer, staring at his reflection with sudden disgust and horror. Not exactly the reaction that I intended, but it was surely fun to watch. He took one glance through the mirror at me, and suddenly that insecurity grew so large he turned away, head hung low, and stormed off toward the dressing rooms. Obviously he couldn't handle being in the presence of someone as remarkable as I. I swear, I didn't even cause that reaction that time, I just played with his self-confidence.

"Can I help you find something, sir?" A slender, yet short male said to me. He had hazel eyes and was purely clean shaven. With that baby face he looked about twenty years old, but I could tell he was much older than that. He seemed far too chipper to be here. I smiled at him, turning my body to face him squarely. The motion made him a bit uneasy; I had that affect on people, power or no power.

"Yes, I am looking for your most expensive suit." My words rolled off the tongue in a strong English accent, that had hints of my original ancient Celt one. The man seemed stunned, and I had a feeling it had nothing to do with my voice.

"Most expensive?" He muttered.

"Yes. And unless you'd like to lose a very valuable customer, I consider you take me said attire."

"Yes of course, Mr.."

"Call me Arie."

"Come this way Arie." He led the way to a corner that was blocked off from the rest of the store by a silk curtain. Behind the curtain there were suits hanging in particular angles so as to fend off as much of the artificial light as possible. I couldn't say I was overly impressed with the selection, as there were only four different kinds of suits, in at most five different colours. I gravitated toward a charcoal black suit with subtle gray pinstripes. I touched the fabric and felt a sense of satisfaction.

"Ah yes, that is one of our beautiful Zegna suits.." his voice became a drone in the background. I pulled the suit off the rack, looking at the shape of it. It would be fitted, which is exactly what I preferred, though I wondered if it would be long enough. I was 6'3, after all, and sometimes buying clothes off the rack was a bit of a chore.

"I'd like to try this one on."

"Yes sir!" The man took the suit from my hands and I had half a mind to growl at him. As far as I was concerned, that was suit was as good as mine. I chose not to, however, and watched as he fluttered toward the dressing rooms. I saw the silver fox again, who decided to look promptly at his shoes as I neared. He made a beeline for the door empty-handed as well. Pity, I actually thought the suit looked alright on him.

I slipped into the dressing room, changed quickly and was astonished the suit was a perfect fit. The shoulders were perfect, the length was perfect, even sitting down in them didn't create any awkward pulling. Well now I needed to buy at least one in every colour. Pleased, I stepped out of the room, so the salesman could get an eyeful as well. His hands shot up to his mouth and I could have sworn tears were about to fall. Yes, I'm glorious. Bask in it, peasant.

"I've never seen a suit look more magnificent on someone." He turned and I clearly caught him fanning his eyes. I smiled, feeling a twinge in my loins. Not here, boys. This suit wouldn't be very forgiving, now would it?

"I do believe I need a new shirt. This blue competes with the stripes. Show me your silks."

"Right away!" He headed toward a large section of silk button-downs, in just about every colour of the rainbow. My heart skipped a beat! I trailed my fingers over the sleeves of several, deciding which colours would be the best on me. Looking at the suit I was wearing, I decided to grab just a plain white one. You could never go wrong with a crisp white shirt. I headed back to the fitting rooms, changed, and stepped out again.

"Oh my.." He stopped.

"I'll take this suit, one in every colour you have available, and one of these shirts in every colour." His jaw nearly hit the floor and I smiled one of my large, brilliant smiles that melted hearts and wet panties. I walked over to him, my height towering a good six inches above his. Gently I took my hand and closed his jaw for him. "I suggest getting used to me. I think you've got a regular customer now. You've been most helpful." His eyes filled with water. "Now please, I'd like to get to the cafe for a tea before everything closes." He nodded absently and disappeared into the store to gather my requests.

I grabbed my old clothes, folded them over my arm and then found the cufflinks. I looked over them while I waited. There was a brilliant pair that had silver skulls, studded with black diamonds in the eyes. They would be coming home with me. Unfortunately they were behind glass, so I had to wait for my pet to come back. When he finally did, he slid everything gently into bags, clearly in awe and a bit flustered at this dreamy sale.

"These cufflinks. I'd like a pair." I pointed at them through the glass, my torso resting against the counter in a manner that was pure sex. His cheeks lit ablaze and that awe was replaced with confusion and sexual frustration. I wanted to laugh, but instead I just smiled at him. He got them out of the cabinet, and slid them across the counter at me.

"Thank you kindly." I took them out of their box, and clipped them onto my sleeves. They looked absolutely perfect.

"Would you like to look at our ties or bow-ties?" He asked, his voice a mixture of husky arousal and shyness.

"I'm not much of a tie man, myself. They just get in the way." I slid my hand leisurely over my neck, then down to the second open button. I watched his eyes follow my hand, stopping where my shirt stayed open slightly. I smiled again, feeling that familiar twinge again.

"How much do I owe you?"

The rest is rather boring, I must say, but that man will never forget me, I assure you. I grabbed my purchases, and left the store. On my way here I happened to spot a cute little cafe where a few people were sitting amongst the night with their coffees. I headed that way, ordered a tea, and decided to sit outside as well. It was such a beautiful night, and this way I could watch the crowd effortlessly. I was feeling revived now, and perhaps I was looking for a little trouble.
