The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Camellia was not used to the city. For a girl who grown up relatively isolated in a small town in Siberia, city life was not something she was comfortable with. There were too many people at all times, too the point that sometimes she felt suffocated or close to snapping and losing her temper. That coupled with her schizophrenia left her feeling like she was in a constant state of crazy, with little to no peace for her mind. But she couldn't leave, Sacrosanct was where her life now was and where her doctor was who was helping her learn to cope with and control her mental disorder that she knew there was a chance she could have for the rest of her life. As much as she disliked being in the city, this was also the only place safe from her parents, where she was invisible in a sea of other people, humans and supernatural alike, and so she was dealing with everything in strides.
The Were walked along the street, trying her best to keep her head low and ignore everyone and everything. The air around her was cold, and that helped keep people away some, feeling the chill that literally followed her as she dropped he temperature in her immediate area. She was just trying to get to her doctor's office to get a refill on her prescription, her medication coming far too close to the bottom of the bottle, and the last thing she wanted was to face her schizophrenia without any help; she'd done that in Russia and it had damaged her and put her through hell. Her gray eyes scanned around wearily, especially at everyone that passed. She didn't trust anyone, there were far too many hunters and other supernatural roaming this city and she was a lone Were, a strong Were capable of defending herself and killing multiple at a time, but alone.
She got in and got out of her doctor's office relatively quickly, but that meant she still had to walk back, deal with the in between of her two safe places. The young woman walked quietly, tucking a strand of her gray hair behind her ear as she did. The sound of screaming had has her stopping however, head perking up as her body goes on high alert. It sounded real, but she knew that everything her mind created always seemed so real. Despite any of he better judgement, she followed the noise into an alleyway, her powers growing stronger with her hesitance until her breath clouded before her and goosebumps lined her skin. She could see someone lying there, a young girl lying in a pool of blood.
"Help me," she said quietly, but Camellia only drew closer and made no move to call for help, instead she lowered herself down and reached out to try and touch the girl. If there was one thing she'd learned, it was that she couldn't feel what her mind made up, so when she felt nothing she stood and stared at the girl, who was nothing more than a sick trick played by her mind, everything from the scream to the actual girl. She started to shake her head, as if she was trying to shake the hallucinations from her mind, to be normal for a change. Her head buried into her hands as she failed to choke back the smallest of distressed and frustrated noises. In the middle of all this, she heard a noise from the entrance of the alleyway and instinctively tensed, gray eyes shooting over.
