The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Scarlett Trivale
So try to love me
And i'll try to save you
Scarlett truly didn't mind the tumble into the puddle, if anything it helped her snap out of her own little world of sadness. She was already wet, so now she was just a bit muddy and wet. She didn't have the capacity to be upset over such a little thing, all she was doing was sulking in the rain anyway, she didn't have anywhere important to be other than home eventually, whenever she wandered her way back. More than anything, she was curious as to how someone was able to sneak up on her like they had, she couldn't even sense the girl standing in front of her. For everything clouding her other senses, her sadness and the rain, she still should have been able to feel someone as close to her as the woman was.
She hadn't meant to sound prideful by not accepting the umbrella, it was more she thought she didn't deserve the kindness. She was the reason it was raining and raining so much, it was only right she had to deal with what she created until she could get control over it again. But she did understand the selfless nature of the other woman, the desire to help a stranger in need. She grabbed her arm a shyly as her eyes were cast down at the ground. "Sorry, you're right....it's just...I don't want to inconvenience people with my own problems," she mumbled quietly, and she was right. She would much rather help other people than help herself, and then she felt guilty when people tried to help her. Maybe it wasn't the biggest inconvenience, it was just an umbrella, but this girl had gone out of her way to stop, project herself out to a sad, soaked girl in a park, and offer her her umbrella; That was more than Scarlett thought she deserved.
A soft smile crept onto Scarlett's face as Amelia introduced herself and confirmed what the wolf suspected. "My name is Scarlett, it's nice to meet you," she said quietly, sticking her hand out to shake but then retracting it when she realized what she had done, her face flushed as she looked away embarrassed by the blunder. He mouth made a little O shape when Amelia mentioned not being able to come out into the sun: vampire. It explained a lot, and now that the mentioned it Scarlett did notice the slightly elongated canine teeth, or rather fangs. She didn't mind, she had no quarrels with vampires and Amelia had been nothing but kind to her. She always gave everyone, no matter what species, the benefit of the doubt. "That's quite alright, though i'm not sure you want me to come near you, I bet I currently smell like wet dog," she said with a smile, throwing her own hint back at the vampire as to what she was.
