The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Perhaps on any other circumstance she would have questioned Edie further, usually the one to require knowledge of the source of a wound before she would agree to heal it. Right now though she was entirely too distracted to deal with interrogating the fellow Beta. This was her place of business the woman had arrived nearly dead on the doorsteps and her children just downstairs in the kitchen. So she let the thinly constructed explanation slide as she reclined in the chair opposite Edie.
Nadya could tell from the way that Edie lit up while talking about her boyfriend that she was completely enamored by him. It was that young new love spark that Nadya knew so well, had seen in so many of her friends back in her adoptive pack. Briefly she wondered if she would ever look like that to an outsider when she spoke of Frost. As it was the pair created mixed interactions of tension and heat right now. Perhaps the love which lit up Edie's eyes just wasn't the type that Nadya would have. Were there different types of love when it came to a significant other? Nadya had to shake her head at the line of thought that had taken over...no...Frost wasn't that to her, she's wasn't his.
Edie's confession of not being able to swim caused the corner of Nadya's lips to curl in a gentle smirk. "You got on a boat without knowing how to swim." Now that wasn't a brilliant idea. Nadya shifted in her seat as she took another shot. "You do have a mouth on you though and quite deserved a lashing coming onto my brother's territory. I didn't know you couldn't swim. However, it was far better than what my brother or even Tobi would have done to you if they had found you." Tobi took his job very seriously in protecting the Ark from threats and after Frost delivering Raven in the condition she had been in there would have been no mercy for one of Frost's pack members.
Nadya could only offer her advice on the problem that plagued Edie about how her boyfriend fit into her world. He was entirely apart from it yet so entwined in it. It was a difficult thing having someone who was undeclared dating a pack member. Though who was she to talk when her and Frost were in separate packs and seemed to be constantly running into each other and figuring out what it was between them. All Nadya could do was offer that Edie and Kato find their own spots to ease the tension but it was quite ardently shut down. Nadya quirked a brow at Edie's explanation, briefly questioning and taking mental note to prod Frost on just how fond he behaved towards Edie.
"Leaving a pack when it's your family and you have children isn't something that can be done at the drop of a hat. It takes time and I have to make sure it's done right. It's....it's not going to be easy or pretty and I may lose the only family I have left over it." Nadya sighed and played with the empty shot glass between her fingers. She was trying to follow her heart, at least what she thought her heart wanted while still trying to ensure her pack's safety. She knew it was a long shot but...she had to try, her brother at least deserved that. Nadya chuckled at Edie saying they could be friends, "I think the alcohol has started to get to you." It wasn't that she didn't believe that her and Edie could be friends if they belonged to the same pack. However, like Edie's loyalty to Frost even above her boyfriend, her loyalty to her brother would have her protecting her pack if confronted with it.
Nadya quirked a brow at the woman's final request. "You don't seem like the type that doesn't know how to dance." Edie's body was obviously lithe though Nadya knew full well with her experience with Sam that that didn't always mean someone knew how to follow a beat. However, Edie's personality was entirely different suggesting that she should know her way around a bar's dance floor. "If you can follow a beat I guess I can teach you. You'll have to wait until we close down for the night and then we can use the stage downstairs. It'll give you time to rest up. I can heal all wounds, even broken bones, but I can't replace blood loss, that's on you." Nadya leaned forward and placed her empty shot class on the coffee table. "I suggest you get some sleep in the meantime." She had to go check on the twins downstairs and felt more comfortable doing so if Edie was asleep and not roaming around.
