East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It was perhaps no true secret to those few souls whom had the slightest of glimpses into Tetradore's thoughts that the man eternally thought particularly ill of himself. That shared mistress had once cast him so unwillingly into the role of villain and with no measurable means of escape he had, in turn, embraced it till it tarnished his very soul. He was without recompense, of that he was so utterly certain that such thoughts of love or affection that others might have held for him in even the slightest of manners had for so long been brushed off with a wave of his hand under the belief they were but gilded lies spoken in vulnerable moments. With Isolt, however, those long held coping mechanisms somehow faltered. With her, he found himself at least hoping that such a delicately uttered confession was one held close and tenderly to her heart, one that would persist even though circumstance would not allow such a love to blossom. Although Tetradore himself had uttered scare a word to the demure woman's lover, he knew well enough that there had, at once, been a competition of sorts for her very heart, one in which he had found himself upon the losing end of. She had chosen her knight and Tetradore was hardly the soul to so disparage such a union that brought her joy, much less taint it with his own presence.

Thankfully, his solemn promise that he would, without a doubt, continue to so care for her seemed enough to placate the delicate glass of her heart, even in his rejection of so acting upon their affections. Instead, however, Tetradore found the conversation so twisting to his own welfare and that sleep he had so denied himself. It was a double edged sword, that exhaustion that so clung to his frame. So much had been required of him in the last twenty-four hours that sleep was not entirely an option available to the man. Now that it was, however, he saw himself hesitating if only for the nightmares he knew would plague him thanks to that momentary step the vampire had made back into his life. Still, he made every effort to brush off the demure vampire's concerns for him, instead countering such thoughts with ones that were vastly more important to him - her own welfare. It was perhaps, a little pathetic, the way in which Tetradore was always looking out for her. It was the knowledge of her inability to survive long in that harsh environment he had so become accustomed to that had saw Tetradore seek escape from Syn - and now that they were finally free again, it was perhaps not peculiar that his desire for her safety and happiness to continue to exist so steadfast within him.

Such a distraction tonight, however, would apparently not have been had, the woman shaking her head with a clear intent to not be dissuaded from her goal. A soft sigh left the man's lips as the woman reminded him of those goals she'd once held before her death and transformation into what she was now. He allowed her fingertips to embrace his own, pulling the man from the front of the house and into the depths of the tavern. He was entirely surprised for the twists and turns of the place, unaware, perhaps, to the full extent of Isolt's property. The last thing he had anticipated, however, was to find the small, cozy room that he was presented with not but moment's later. His emerald gaze eyed the suite in an inquisitive fashion, the woman clearly intending to get him to sleep in whatever fashion was required of him. Her voice once again drew his gaze, his lips twitching into the smallest of simpers as he eyed the young woman at his side. "Yes, I would imagine so." He stated, knowing well exactly what she so pertained to. He followed the woman to the edge of the bed, his lips twisting ever so slightly in a frown as she offered to fetch him dinner if he so desired and slowly he nodded, clearly considering something before he spoke ever so softly, unsure if those simple words crossed the boundaries he had but moment ago set before them. "Stay with me for a bit?"
