East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

How long would she truly keep standing there for? Could she not see she had been stood up? Then again the woman was so impossibly drunk her ability to judge time at all was surely far less then she anticipated, Arlo watching her glance at her phone yet again, looking either way up the street before at last stumbling back into the bar, a 'tsk tsk' of sorts passing his own lips at the discouraging behaviour of todays young people before returning his attention to his own attempts to find a meal for tonight. His trap despairingly quiet despite the effort he had gone to in assuring its optimal location, the vampire half given to consider this would so unfortunately not be his night and he was doomed to brood over his hunger until the next evening. How irritable hunger tended to make him, the youthful boy nearly wholly obsessed as any young vampire surely was with finding a long-term food source or at least a reliable way of achieving it whenever he so needed that fix. His latest string of assault's with his crafted nets having proven distinctly successful until now. Surely someone was drunk or distracted enough to stumble into his trap? Not that alcohol laden blood was truly what he desired and yet a beggar could hardly be a chooser he supposed, his tongue brushing over his fangs in anticipation at the mere thought of feeding at yet still the night wore on.

He had only just begun to consider moving that net when a shot from below saw one eye lift in intrigue, that black hood pulled lazily up and over his head, obscuring his features with ease as he moved to peer down into the alleyway below- eyeing the entangled young girl whom had only just now begun to call for help. Hmm. How displeasing it was when they started shouting! It would be a pity though, to so have to restrain her any more then she already was, fear ruined the blood and yet if she continued to shout like that he was going to have dreadfully little choice. He slips easily from that roof top a moment later, detaching his tall, dark form from those shadows as he does, stepping out and into that alleyway and what little light the moon above so provided him with. He pauses before her, that bright azure gaze regarding her evenly now. She was a pretty thing and yet he was entirely assured she knew it. A girl didn't dress like that unless she had the confidence carry it, a small part of the man almost amused by his own deductions before he moves to close that distance between them at last, hands reaching softly for her own if only to make sure they were entirely well secured. Arlo methodical, practised in his work, content to offer her little more than those murmured sounds.

"Shh, shh , hush now."

There was a distinct pleasantness to his youthful voice, those smooth, easy tones almost seeking to placate the woman somehow, despite the panic that might surely afflict her the moment she realised he was hardly untangling her wrists- but rather making sure she was entirely bound before crouching down to afford her ankles the same treatment, aiming to limit her movement as much as he could and so prevent any unwanted kicks or slaps before standing once more. He so often tried to limit his interaction with his prey, if only to prevent them gaining any truly identifying knowledge him- azure eyes briefly lowering to her own if only to assure himself she was hardly about to scream before his hands extended one more. It was easy to catch her chin with one hand, tilting her head gently to one side, the fingers of his free hand lifting to press against the soft skin of her neck, diligently finding that delicious thrum of her pulse and that vein he so desperately sought. It was far more pleasurable, easier too, to search for that vein with his lips or tongue and yet there was an intimacy of sorts to that sort of gesture, one he hardly intended to engage within with an unwilling victim so incapable of shoving him aside. The location of that vein so discovered he returns his hands to himself once more, a simper of sorts tugging at his lips, those fangs clear for the first time in that toothy grin.

"Forgive me for this, but I'm very hungry."
