East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I could chase her forever and it wouldn't be enough. Of course the ultimate satisfaction will be when she's where she belongs, finally wrapped in my arms. Her lips are my temptation, her kiss my salvation. I can hear her dress flowing out behind her. I can taste her skin in the air, her scent like a siren's call. I could find her anywhere. Even though her heart doesn't beat anymore, she's more alive to me than ever.

The ground grows muddy beneath my feet but I could care less. I only care about keeping her in sight and then having her in my arms.

I have nothing against games. Anyone who has known me even before Isolt knows that I love games. I especially loved playing with my food. The chase, the adrenaline rush. The taste of their fear was always so addicting. Tonight I fight a new addiction but I'm not even really fighting it. In fact, I'm embracing it. My addiction to Isolt can never be denied, nor should it ever have that chance.

I can smell the damp earth beneath our feet and I know my pants are going to be soaked but I could care less. I don't even want to think about how her dress is going to look by the end of this but I know she'll be dazzling either way.

I reach a spot where I can feel her close as if I could reach out and touch her and yet, she's not in plain sight. Hiding, of course. I chuckle under my breath, running a hand through my hair as I look around and whistle. "Come out, come out, where ever you are." I whisper silkily, knowing she'll hear.

When she appears in front of me, I am speechless as always. She is always the epitome of beauty and all that it encompasses. Her hair is a mess but it's ravishing on her, feral and untamed like a goddess. As she pulls me closer, I can only laugh and come to her willingly. I would never think to fight her. I lean my face forward to nuzzle my nose against hers.

"I look forward to trying every time though. Gotta keep the challenge going or you'll grow bored with me. " I smirk as her hands work wonders across my chest. Even through the soaked shirt, I can feel her like a wildfire under my skin, burning me alive with passion only for her. She moves my arms about her and I make a low growling noise in my throat of pleasure as they easily encircle her and draw her closer still.

Even as the rain pelts down, I start to move, leading her into a waltz, twirling her and dipping her with a huge grin on my face. I couldn't be happier than I am when I'm with her. I could do this all night long but I know there's something I've got to do before that happens. The funny thing is that I'm nervous. I don't recall ever feeling this nervous. I draw the dance out as long as I can, the rain drops falling all around us. I can't even feel them no more. I'm too caught up in how beautiful she is under the moonlight, how lucky I am to call her mine.

Even as our spinning slows, I smile and lean in to plant a soft sweet kiss on her lips. When I pull back, I clear my throat, my hand reaching into my pocket. "Isolt....I....I have something to ask you."
