East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

LIKE STARLIGHT INTO DAY
A COLD WIND ON YOUR SHOULDER

She wasn't sure if she liked the one yet. But she did not wish to stay within the confines of her prison anymore. She lifted her head, her nose twitching as if to test the older females scent. Nothing seemed odd, but how would she know? Other scents drifted about her, youthful ones, familiar if only because of that. Taking a step away from the cage she pauses to glance at it, at the way some of her fur still clung to the edges.

Huffing, she pulls her gaze back to the woman. Nadya? Name. Name. What did they call her? Three-one-seven she offers almost automatically, but then she hesitates. This woman's name was not like hers, how did they do their names in this facility? She pauses for a long time before another word comes to her, Corr and then pauses again, Cora. This seemed acceptable, right? They were all hers, these different names.

Her body tenses at the slight contact before she relaxes a small bit. 'Why don't you come with me--' she pauses as Nadya takes a step away. Cautiously, she takes a tentative step forward which spurred her body into moving quickly towards the edge of the vehicle. Heedless of any danger she leaps down from the edge, grunting softly at the impact but gleeful in this one small movement. Shaking her head, she hops into the street with a surprised huff. Still hopping, she'd never truly jumped before, she poked her head around the vehicle. Twisting her head around she turns to look for the older female before padding towards the cab of the truck.

A soft noise of discontent leaves her when she can't force her way inside. Softly, she cries out for the woman in the passenger seat. She knew she had been sitting there, knew that when they stopped for the night that that was the side that opened. Agitated, she paces for heartbeats before the promise of food lures her away. She returns to Nadya, Food? she queries, her accent thick.

How quick she was to dismiss the woman who had raised her. She would find her, wouldn't she? Food was important, food is what made the grumbling in her belly stop. She would eat, then she would return. A rock catches her attention as she steps on it and it's only this that jolts her awake to look around her. Metal, hardness beneath her feet. A soft mewling leaves her lips and unconsciously she presses against Nadya's leg. New, unfamiliar, dangerous.
