East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

THEY SAY IM A GOD

He watches the boy scramble, a low rumble of distaste ebbing from him like thick toxic waste until finally he turns to face the girl, free hand remaining held out before her. He sizes her up fully now, eyes trailing from her pathetic little dagger to the stiffness in her stance until finally meeting the determination in her gaze. She was going to stop him from murdering that guilt soul and adding another voice in his mind and she did just that only, he was being paid to kill, to rid sacrosanct of the dirt in its streets.

And this fool of a girl ruined it.

He waves off her question regarding the three days, it did not concern her, and he would not waste anymore time explaining himself to her. "you've cost me money and you will pay me back," he trails off, allowing a gleam to meet his eyes as they slide up and down once more. "one way or another." scarred face shifts into an enticing and deadly smirk as he teases her. No, he wouldn't require payment of any sort from her, he was on a time frame. Still, he would get a kick out of watching her squirm.

The wraith has done terrible things in his lifetime and even worse in the lifetime before it. To say he had grown soft was an understatement. He would have done what he pleased and asked questions later, stories of the scarred viking king ringing through the lands. This girl would not have stood a chance against the old dvaerg.

He shrugs, hand lifting to touch the blood that oozes from his ears, fingers rubbing together as he looks at the aftermath with a deep, wretched expression. The voices disperse inside leaving him a headache in their wake and peace in his thoughts, for now, but they will return in a few hours to remind him of his failure. He practically snarls at the thought of what would come later. "well girl, you win." his baritones are gruff, hands reaching down to lift off his shirt and use it to wipe the sweat from his face. He tosses it over inked shoulder, thick arms folding as he arches a single brow. "i'll still kill him later but for now, hunter, you have saved a life."

In the end though, you now owe him yours. A life for a life per say and one day soon the viking will seek payment.
