The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been
It was no small blessing that, of all the many things it had picked from her proverbial pockets, death had also pilfered from the young woman the ailment of exhaustion that had so oft plagued her mortal self. Had she been alive, truly alive, she would have surely succumbed to the grueling heft of it that threatened as some hidden foe swathed in the darkness that lay just beyond reach. Her body could not, would not, surrender to it any longer... but her mind, her soul, still bore a not-insignificant amount of vulnerability to this mortal malady.
Thankfully the tumult of the evening and the crowd it had drawn to Red on the Water was a most beautiful and blessed distraction, as was the amalgamation of dependably-regular patrons and lively new faces all pressed against the emaculate oak crescent of the bar. Isolt herself hung back from the pulsing mass of bodies that squirmed about, surveying the operations of her establishment in a most analytical manner. It is for this reason that the youthful redhead senses nothing of her companion's approach, hardly registering the presence of the petite young woman until she is very nearly atop her in a veritable frenzy of energy with which Isolt is well and truly unaccustomed to receiving from the traditionally quite demure Yumi. "Wha-", she stammers, sparkling azure eyes flittering about the glowing facade of her companion before slicing to the lingering frame of her lover.
An admittedly befuddled simper blossoms upon Isolt's cherry-kissed lips as she considers one companion and then the other, calculating how best she is to decline the vague offer presented to her in favor of remaining to see to the pub's operations. But... she falters, halted by the glimmer that sparkles against Yumi's eyes, a glimmer she had scarcely seen at all in the time that the two women had known one another. Yumi, it seems, had been brought to life by whatever enigmatic happening had gone on before her and Damon's arrival. She was alive in nearly every way that she could have been, save for the lifeless heart craddled within her chest. It is this realization that pulls the angelic grin all the wider upon Isolt's features before her gaze shifts once more to her lover. "Well, where are my captors taking me?"
