East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Hail elegance as we revel in the lust of pure destruction;

There is more to words than just mere words alone. It's what was left unspoken is what this dark and wanton creature seeks. After all, her very gift had crafted her as much as she has created it. Her illusions are like unspoken words, a new reality, concealing the fabric of what was truly there. Petra has always been a creature living in the in-between. She was neither here nor there. The mistress and her illusions have been consumed by what she creates that the very reality before her doesn't seem quite tangible. After all, that solid reality is nothing but malleable at her very fingertips.

"I am starting to think you may have an affinity with the Wizard of Oz." She flashes a smirk. Yet still she found a lifestyle with only animal blood not entirely appetizing. But for now it amuses her, how a vampire as old as him could still value and cherish life around him. As though he were forged of something more heavenly rather than the demon's that had crafted her. This pair could not be any more different, she was the darkness to his light, and deceptive shadows seem to lick across her flesh while light danced across his. He seemed to see the good in what was around him and she only saw its gruesome darkness, welcoming its' cold embrace. When he mentioned eating that fish, or even thinking of him consuming a reptile; there was simply no appeal in eating something with colder blood than her own, she mused. "Oh you won't need to worry your head, I won't be fishing for my midnight snack tonight." There was laughter in her voice despite her obscurity. She would not go hungry, she never did.

The raven haired vampire listens to his story while excitement flickers across his eyes; he seemed rather open in his findings and personal experiences. She had never met someone so open and willing to share. He is infectious as he spoke, lighting up as he does so. She could not help but listen to his tale, interested in vampires that feasted on one another. A small smile spreads across her crimson lips. "How interesting." She replied in thoughtful consideration She idly flicked her hand, before tracing a finger along the glossy finish of the bar table. "Ah something you haven't yet done. I wouldn't be so closed minded, if I were you. You don't know where your path will take you in another century or so." Her eyes glitter with mischief, slightly leaning in. Did he ever think he would sate most of his own nutrition on small herbivores and perhaps the occasional predator? Probably not. Did she think her humanity would crackle and peel from her very soul? No, not entirely but time shapes you in strange and unpredictable ways.

The topless woman was a rather comedic relief from a serious conversation. The slip of power was only but a small flex of her proverbial muscle, rather enjoying the sheer look of distress upon that woman's features. They were so close as she caressed the side of his arm, their eyes locked for but a moment as though they were having a discussion over dinner and not a loudly obnoxious bar. There was a shrill sound of a nearby woman that could make a dog's ears bleed and yet she could still hear him explain his joys despite the distractions of the busy bar. The man might as well have been a historian or a professor, he certainly had the charisma to capture attention. "I much prefer the now. History is exactly where I prefer it, buried and eroded with time." Petra admitted. Her own past was perhaps a reason for it, but that was never a story she was willing to tell. Malek suddenly stood, as if he was stretching out those long limbs. He surprises her when he reached out his hand in a gentlemanly way that somehow suited the vampire. His offer she could not agree with more, she nods her head in acceptance.

She places a cool slender hand in his outstretched one. "Better yet, perhaps, sometime I can show you." There is an impish gleam within those wicked pale eyes, if only he knew truly how soon that was. Perhaps she didn't need to toy with him. Perhaps she could have found another game she could play. But where would the fun be in that? It felt good to stand, she was not the kind to sit idle for too long. She moves seamlessly throughout the crowd of dancing bodies, careful not to be bumped by a single form as they left the bar.

Once outside, her eyes glance at the smokers against the wall, one in particular stood out a male with dark hair and hazel eyes. His eyes are hungry and it wasn't for food. It didn't matter that she was with another; he was almost too shameless in his blatant staring. A meek woman would have felt nervous, avert their eyes, or perhaps so much as even shield herself. But Petra was used to the attention this raven haired bombshell so often acquired. Perhaps that man could have his uses.

Her nightingale voice beckons to him, perhaps even playful as she does. "Come with me, Malek." She savours the names upon her tongue. She hopes to lure him somewhere a little more private, deeper into the alley amidst the shadows and light pulsating music of the bar inside. The people leaning against the wall were still within eyeshot, but they would be concealed in submissive shadow. What she hides with her illusions from her vampire companion was the passed out woman slumped in the ally way, it was like she was entirely erased from existence to prying eyes.

All that seemed to remain was that ochre coloured bunny she had created at the bar. It appeared to have followed them as though it were trained to do so. However, it was just a flex of power that allowed Petra to seemingly keep that creature on a short leash. "Have a taste?" She bats her long dark lashes almost far too innocently, the hint of laughter dancing throughout those lyrical words. The bunny hovers just around their feet, his little nose twitching, his oversized ears pointed and alert. "I am utterly famished and could use a bite. You first, I would hate to be the only one eating." Purely logical, if only the man could see the woman slumped down by his feet, the rabbit that seemed to look up at them both with beckoning eyes. How could he resist?

But what if he didn't? It was that thrill that thrummed wildly within her; if her heart still beat it would sing! That unbridled excitement of possibly of being caught at her own wicked game. Would he believe his eyes? After all, she had full control of that, that consumption of all perception was hers. Her illusions could be so elaborate, yet this was so plain and simple. Only one alteration of reality could change it all, unravelling his well-earned composure so that frayed into messy ruin. It was a shame, he was nothing but kind and full of that light, he had done nothing to bring her harm and he was quite likeable. Yet, she is like a woman with a bat in a crystal shop and she would swing away, simply because she couldn't help herself.

This woman was truly heartless.
