Any form of rejection from her would kill him, he was sure of it. Her heart was the softest he'd ever seen so to have even that turn its back on him...well, there would be no saving him then. He knew that she might miss him when he was gone but he didn't know it had been so long that she would be upset like this. Of course, he still wasn't used to having to answer to anyone but himself. He'd always been on his own, well, when he wasn't with his annoying brother. He hated her to be upset, even more so to be upset with HIM. He reached out for her, not knowing if it would do any good or not. She could probably shut the door in his face and he wasn't sure how long he would remain there on her doorstep, on his knees with his gaze averted. Thankfully he didn't have to wait there long however before an all too familiar face appeared before his own. His gaze slowly rose to meet her own, listening as she said that she knew. Then she told him that she needed him, needed him here. She told him not to talk about the New Eden and then told him not to bring up her changing her mind either. His brows slowly rose as he searched her expression. She looked so determined, her answer set in stone and he felt his lips slowly tugging into a proud smile. His free hand slowly reached up to caress her cheek. "Understood." He whispered. Then she said that she wanted to keep the ring and he smirked a little. "It does look good on you." As she lowered her lips to his, he tilted his own to meet her, savoring the taste he'd been missing for so long. As her arms wrapped around him, he dropped the flowers to wrap his own arms around her waist, pulling her to him. He slowly pulled them both to their feet, sure that she didn't want to continue kneeling on the floor. As she pulled back, his eyes lit up, tilting his head as she said that she felt underdressed. He looked her up and down before smirking. "You look beautiful. Would it make you feel more comfortable if I took this off?" He arched a brow. |
