The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

aiden tetradore
Tetradore was well aware that the threat posed to his sibling was entirely of his own making. If she or her children suffered at the hands of that vile woman whom had taken him captive all those years ago, it would be but him to blame. Although he had every intention of seeking his own freedom from those shackles with the death of himself or her, there was, still, yet another option for the were-horse and his sister. It was an option he had not voiced before, though one he too had considered within those dark hours when that hopelessness proved to be too great. They were, after all, in danger merely because of his own care for them - all of them. Risque had a tendency to tear apart those things, those people he loved, or she enjoyed making a sport of him fulfilling that monstrous role himself. Without Tetradore, however, she would gain no satisfaction from them. She had threatened him with their welfare in the event of his effort to murder her, but she had not once spoken of a consequence of his own simple death. All it took was for him to discern the inner workings of that newfound gift of regeneration and they would be free to find their own way in the world without that darkness hanging over them all the same. Perhaps that too was an option Frost was willing to consider, if he dared to mention it.
His consideration was drawn from that final solution by Frost's sudden utterance as the man moved abruptly back towards the vehicle, those words from his companion mirrored the near perfect mask of apathy Tetradore himself often conveyed to the world at large. He could hardly help that almost bemused simper upon his features as Frost called out that offer for what it was. All that Tetradore inquired was more akin to a reward or trophy to be won then a gift or inheritance. Nothing came without a price - even Nadya. It was a lesson he was certain Frost was becoming well aware of in that singular moment. Despite that almost obsessive facet of that relationship between the pair, Tetradore could hardly help the idle wondering if Frost now found himself regretting his decision to so fastidiously court his sibling. He hardly voiced such a thought, however, instead choosing to formally welcome Frost to their family, even if such a greeting hardly held the same heartfelt tenderness as the welcome that Raven had received.
His head bobbed ever so slightly at that appreciation of those words, and too that acknowledgement of Frost's relationship with his sibling and newfound ties to himself. He had hardly anticipated that simper, of sorts, that brightened Frost's usually stoic features. Perhaps there was something worth salvaging here after all. He took that ice cold beer he was offered, that look of surprise quite clear upon his features at this rather beneficial use of that destructive affinity. Tetradore was altogether content to sip on its contents whilst he listened to those questions that poured from Frost's lips, questions a younger version of Tetradore had once agonized over. That answer came easily enough, those words almost clinical in how logical and removed from emotion they were. It was a coping mechanism Tetradore had long ago employed when he spoke of that dark portion of his life - to merely discuss those painful particulars as if they had happened to someone else. That soft snort he was provided in retort, however, prompted little more than a shake of his head in disagreement. In this, perhaps, he understood Risque almost far too well. "No. He found me once, before I escaped. It was not his... intelligence that made her get bored of him. Tobias does not have guilt. He doesn't care about consequences. He only cares of the present. She enjoys preying on emotions and the mind as much as she does the body." In this, Tobias had been immune from her. She could only touch the deviant with that physical torment and such had only entertained her for so long.
He took a sip of that ice cold beer within his hand, those emerald eyes glanced up at that inquiry he should have anticipated and yet, both of those answers Frost had suggested felt true enough. That laughter upon his companion's lips coaxed a grin upon his own roguish features, only for the were-King to inquire of those other facts the steed required of him in order to take on that mantle Tetradore offered. Tetradore could hardly help that sigh that crossed his lips as he slouched further against that car hood. "No, I have no idea but she has always had shady business acquaintances, those who adore her, and there is her brother. I wouldn't be surprised if he was one of them. She also has a whole zoo of were-cats. Some see her as their savior. I don't know what we are up against but I wouldn't put anything past her." It was that knowledge of what she was capable of that made him most concerned. He had seen whole covens fall to their knees in front of her. She was not to be trifled with.It was that which prompted the man to offer what he had gleamed of those very abilities. "She also can create illusions. They are as real as the air we breathe. You can't trust what you see, you can't trust what you hear, you can't trust what you feel. I thought I've killed her twice now...I was wrong." His arms folded over his chest, the corner of his lips tilted downwards in a frown. Tetradore cleared his throat, continuing on further with what little he could offer his companion. "I've seen her steal the life from men with a single kiss...as for the rest...I don't know."
It wasn't enough, he knew that well and yet, Tetradore was eternally the underdog in this ongoing war with his vampire mistress. He was constantly ill equipped and yet, Tetradore consistently continued to try all the same. That mention of his pack however, prompted a small nod from the man. Those...exceptions, as he liked to call it, needed to be voiced here and now. "Tobias and Raven are getting married. I bought them a house in Oregon as a wedding present. They'll be safe there. As for Henry....he is my Vector. He's new to this whole....were-thing but I think he has potential. I don't ask for you to give him a position in your pack but...give him a chance for one, when you feel he is ready. Please. I also met your Calliel. I offered her a home within the Ark since she left you. I am willing to rescind my offer, if you prefer, in exchange. The rest of the pack is yours to do with as you please, Jackal will help you with the transition. He has the access and knowledge of everything." The fellow had become a sort of trusted confidant when it came to his finances, even if Raven tended to cover the day to day aspect of his more legitimate business.
He hardly expected that almost abrupt statement from Frost's lips, that single comment held both far more knowledge and empathy than even his own sibling had ever offered him. Those emerald eyes turned towards Frost at that sudden drop to companion's tone, the man listening in silence to those words that clearly spoke of Frost's own experiences. Whatever had happened to the fellow had granted him some measure of insight to that life Tetradore all but struggled through. For a moment, he merely stared at the profile of that man beside him, as if he was truly seeing the were-steed for the first time. He understood with some sort of peculiar clarity. It called to a part of him, that bit of his tender soul that had always played the martyr no matter what it cost him. "Be careful when you tell my sister that story. It hurts when she regards you as little more than a disgraced pet. Although, maybe with you, she'll understand. Who the fuck knows." He shook his head ever so slightly, moving on all the same without expecting any sort of reply to that small hint of advice. His shoulder lightly shifted into his companion's in an almost...playful, reassuring fashion. "You'll be fine though, I mean, hell, I've got your back and...some damn ponies and their riders just require a little fear before they all flee...or get eaten" He shrugged ever so slightly, that herd hardly concerned him in the slightest. If Frost was willing to take on his monster, the least he could do was ensure Frost was free of his own nightmare before his death. That comment of that beer case, however, turned his gaze downwards towards that nearly empty case, his lips twisting in a frown. "Eh, I can get another, what's your poison?"
