The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
After swiftly devouring the cupcake and declaring it to be his price for holding up the line she listened to Frost explain that he didn't hold up the line and how the woman serving stopped to watch him. It was her choice, he uttered. "Maybe if you weren't so dreadfully scary," she poked at him, laughing in a manner as if to tell him she was not scared of the man at all. She thought he was funny, exuding a tough macho exterior but she supposed he had many soft spots stewing about the interior of him. He was intriguing to her. More so than many of the men she more often had conversations with. Although, with the regular flux of men, there was never much conversation past the goodbye's the morning's after.
"You must be very sharp," she replied in response to accusing her of being a vampire. "Although, you are a were so I'm not too surprised," she casually spoke, glancing around at the décor and seeing whether any other customer was listening in on their conversation. "I eat regular food daily, I like the taste. Whether I can digest it is a whole other story," she laughed. "As long as it doesn't have any traces of garlic I think I'll survive," she quipped.
He displayed an exuberant amount of confidence when he replied in a casual tone about loving to harass the staff at the café. "You're right, it was painstakingly obvious. I'll be more observant next time," smiling sweetly as her lips parted to take another sip of the strong coffee. She was surprised by how honest Frost was, especially about things others would try their best to cover up or deny. The audacity of the man impressed her. After her inquiry about being a cosplayer, she watched his head shake back and forth, a bit of disbelief displayed across his facial features but also confusion as to what exactly a cosplayer was. Oh, how she loved making others confused by her weird inquiries.
"What? No way," surprised by his statement about being genetically altered for a desired appearance. "Well, looks like messing with the gene pool paid off," she spoke with flirtatious lyrics. "Hmm, have you ever wondered what you'd look like if you hadn't been altered? I have a feeling you'd have a large nose otherwise. Good save on their part," she playfully jested. She watched as his hands brushed against hers as he took her coffee cups, placing it up to his mouth and taking moderate sips, unaffected by the amount of alcohol that was swirling around in the cesspool of coffee. She appreciated this man's carefree attitude.
She felt as though she was peering through a distant reflection perhaps, to a time where she was okay with who she was. Not the monster she had become now. There was truly no escape from the corruption that convoluted her mind. Especially not with James. It was truly a 'til death do us part' type of ordeal. God, she hated that prick. Even the thought of him made her stomach twist in knots and she grabbed the flask out of her purse, making a solution that was entirely more vodka than coffee and grasped Frost's hands resting on the coffee cup pulling it now up to her mouth, taking a few gulps, then releasing her grip on his hands and the coffee mug, allowing his hands to slowly retreat towards his body with the cup.
Regarding the statement of her drinking away her guilt she retaliated with a smile and raised her palms out in front of her chest as to say his statement was fair enough. "If you lived with my roommate, you'd be drinking too," she lightheartedly joked. "No, I'm just a highly functioning alcoholic," she grinned, words as blunt and truthful as a dulled knife. "Besides, I don't steal lives. I can at least pride myself on that much. I'm not your typical blood sucking vampire," she boldly stated with a mysterious tone coating her glassy voice. "How about you, do the cupcakes help you fill your void? They are quite delicious, perhaps they use molasses to get that nice sweet balance. Usually I find cupcakes to be overly sweet. These are nice," she twirled the wrapper with her index finger, sliding it across the table.
"Bzzzt," Lisé's phone vibrated loudly. She looked down at her phone, seeing that James had finally wrapped up his business around the town. She leaned back into the plushy booth and texted him back stating she was busy. Her and James's relationship, or whatever it could be classified as, was filled with back and fourth banter and relentless spite. It was her turn to make him wait a bit. She was sure he could fill his time feeding while she got blitzed on coffee and mixtures of alcohol. Although, her desire for vindictiveness fell too short, as her heart started to throb, body aching in dull pain she grabbed her purse and rushed out of the café, sensing the direction James was in. "Stupid fucking man," she hissed aloud as she felt her organs twist in a burning sensation, almost as if her insides were on fire. What do you think you're doing she furiously texted him back with, as she found herself running around heading towards the west, forgetting entirely the unique snowy white haired man named Frost she met back at the café.
