East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i'm not ashamed of my scars, i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.

The young she-wolf hardly wished to be a bother to anyone, with those she loved and those that were complete strangers. She always preferred to keep to herself until she felt like her presence was needed or even accepted. Through the abuse she endured, Raven was conditioned to believing she was a worthless creature. It would some time and effort from others to help the girl see that she had value and a purpose. Her deviant spotted companion succeed in this area. The boy declared her as his mate, marking her neck with his own bite, and calling her with that title in front of others. Little by little the woman eventually began to see that she could be wanted. Sadly though sometimes progress could be ruined. Bumping into the very well-dressed business man was an accident that she felt was entirely her fault. If she wasn't having such a terrible headache then perhaps she would have noticed and kept out of his way. Being shoved aside and into the side of a brick building made her gasp aloud in pain. Keeping herself upright with her telekinesis, a very faint growl could be heard under her breath, as she felt those chains within her skull loosen up, her feral side wishing to take control. Luckily though she grasped the control once more, desperately trying to keep it.

Looking upward she noticed the business man was standing there frozen. There in front of him stood a very rough look rogue that clearly stuck out like a sore thumb here within the eastern side of the city. She had seen his type before, every night, down in the Ark where she lived and worked. The introverted woman would be wary around men like him, but being around his kind every night, left her feeling almost quite comfortable in his presence. Another spasm at the back of her head, and she reached upwards quickly clutching it, wishing that mere touch would numb it right away. Seeing that smirk grow upon his lips made the lupine throw him a soft shy simper, grateful for his involvement. It was obvious that the businessman took his threat seriously, noticing how he bolted from the pair of them, shouting like a lunatic. It shocked her when she felt his arm suddenly loop around hers, the man pulling her to his side as they spun around, walking in the direction she was originally heading towards. She needed to get home. The pain in her head increased as they walked through a large crowd, the streets busy with a lot of foot traffic during the holiday season. Once they managed to get to a quieter street did she begin to feel a little bit better. Slowly she would unwrap her arm from his own, pushing some of her golden-brown curls out of her eyes, causing her hood to fall. Gently she spoke up giving him a small smile.

"Thank You for that back there that was very kind of you. But you should be careful, that man may be rich enough to influence a Dark Hunter to take your hide."

It wouldn't be the first and it wouldn't be the last. Not all Dark Hunters were bad. However, this city was full of crooks, of the human and supernatural kind. Just because they were part animal didn't mean they needed to be treated like one. Raven had seen first-hand what it was like to be marked, and hunted down, all because she did something another person didn't like. Not all Dark Hunters follow their rules and regulations. That businessman could be friends with a Dark Hunter and it wouldn't be long until someone had him tagged and bagged. As they continued walking along she took a deep breath, the cold air bringing her some relief, as she felt that primal side of her start to calm down...if only slightly. It was best she warned him, should anything go wrong on their little walk.

"I...I go feral sometimes, this is helping, though. Walking and being away from the crowd. I owe you one, is there anything I can do to help you?"

Raven was quite a friendly creature and she was always willing to help out another, especially when they extended the same kindness to her.
