The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

we built this city on broken glass
How he loathed that lunchtime rush. The city so had a habit of becoming even more crowded for those few precarious hours as people rushed from the office to lunch and back again. He hated those crowds, he hated the feeling of people pressing against him. Hell, he hated this fucking city with its smells and noises that polluted anyone and anything it touched. It was so different from the places he had spent most of his life. There were no trees, no grass, no mountains- the nearest body of water was that foul salty harbour in the West. He couldn't damn breath sometime and yet, no word of complaint ever left his lips. It was what it was. He would survive here like he survived everywhere else until there was nothing left to be achieved or the Hunter's got to close- or he found some way to get home and exact that revenge he had waited so many years to deliver. How close he was too. How much his power had grown beyond anything he had ever believed it would. Beyond anything his captors had ever said he was capable off. How they lied to him and yet perhaps he was hardly surprised. The world was full of lies. Though why people bothered when it was often the truth that was far more disturbing he hardly knew. Frost long since having lost interested in understanding the minds of men. In the end, they were all the same with terribly few exceptions. Alexander, perhaps, one of hose very exceptions even if the equine refused to afford such thoughts any voice. He had grown closer to that Hunter over the past year. The other man one of the few beings Frost had come to afford any sort of trust too if only because the man had proven he was worth it. He was worth Frost's time as so few ever wore. In all his years he never believed he would accept any rider. Perhaps he had merely been waiting for the right one.
He stepped easily from that path then and off to the side, allowing another crowd of people to pass him, his lip curling slightly in displeasure, his gaze near glaring at those rushing people and yet those strange violet eyes remained hidden beneath that equally strange snowy white hair that adorned his head. Frost easily standing out even amongst that crowd if only for the starkness of that very hair. His hands tucked more firmly into his pockets, his shoulders hunching slightly as he pressed onward, his relatively small stature easily seeing him weave in and out of that crowd and towards that cafe that was his destination as it tended to be each day in the late afternoon. Frost generally having taken to lingering in the warmth of that place while he waited for darkness to fall and that cafe to close before Alexander came downstairs and the two man disappeared for those training sessions. It was almost a relief to turn onto that less crowded street, the Icelandic man easily making his way to that cafe then before pressing a hand to that door, that little bell chiming as it always did. The man relieved to find the relative quiet of that place and yet his features remained near blank all the same. Frost's utter lack of emotion for anyone and anything near as famous as his decidedly frosted demeanor.
Several of those clients near immediately rose from their seats at his presence, as if they feared they might have taken one the stallion desired that day. Frost waving his hand lightly as a look of relief seemed to find those regulars and they returned to their chairs. He strode easily toward that counter then, the young woman behind it having worked here for entirely long enough to know her place in that cafe hierarchy. The woman saying nothing at all as Frost plucked a chocolate chip cookie from display before he turned neatly on his heel to wander towards his usual seat. That cafe was firmly Alexander's own territory, Frost nothing short of respectful of that in the least. The stallion so refraining from any damage to either the location or it's staff and yet it had taken him less then a month to assure those staff understood where they belonged. How quickly they had learned too. None of them questioned him any longer or bothered to attempt to make him pay, several off them having taken to assuring his favoured seat was left empty in the afternoons too. Frost easily content with such a thing.
This afternoon, however, he hardly made it to his favoured armchair. The scent of something else seeing the man pause, his violet gaze flicking somewhere beneath that white forelock of hair and onto that pair of women seated by the window with a container of cupcakes before them. They were hardly those cream cheese and carrot combinations he had taken to near inhaling whenever the baker baked them and yet he could smell these all the same. Frost entirely assured that equine part of him was capable of scenting carrot wherever it was- even if he rarely allowed that side of himself to exact any control. He shifted wordlessly towards that table, his gaze flicking from one woman to the other. Hmm, one was an employee, one he had not seen before. How sweet.
"Your new."
He commented simply, the words aimed at Beylani. Those cool lyrics parting his lips and yet his attention remained upon those cupcakes as he paused at the side of their table. The other woman, Elian, ignored entirely in that moment as if she was hardly worthy off his attention in any sense. One hand lifted briefly upward, Frost pushing aside some of that strange white hair, affording the women a view of that striking and yet decidedly odd violet coloured gaze beneath. That same hand reaching forward a moment later to pluck a cupcake from that container before the stallion abruptly stepped back to lean against the vacant table behind him. His fingers pulled a little of that cake off, slipping it smoothly between his lips, the taste evidently passable as he plucked another piece from it. Hmm. It was nice.
"How long have you worked here? We must have been missing each other until today. How very unfortunate- or perhaps fortunate- I haven't decided yet."
Those cold, slow words as lacking in emotion as his feature themselves. Frost speaking merely as if he was passing some idle comment to no one in particular. His attention on that cupcake alone as he continued to pick at it. His gaze at last lifting to the two women again.
"Who made the cupcakes?"
