The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Boredom was a dreadful thing, and unfortunately it was something that happened to find Vitani more frequently as the years went on. Considering just how young of a faerie she was compared to a large majority of her kindred spirits, this would prove to be a rather dangerous thing for the men of the city who happened to find themselves ensnared in those traps she would lay out for those easily attracted. It was almost hard to think that the woman was fae with just how bold and how cruel she could be. Perhaps in another world she might have been a vampire or perhaps a wicked witch with all the beautiful temptations that she wore so flawlessly tonight, but she was none of these things. What most men seemed to always forget was that it was often the most beautiful of roses that had the sharpest thorns, and this was a near perfect expression when it came to describing the fair creature that sat there at the polished downtown bar, thick jet black lashes blinking slowly over those eyes of pale peridot as she would cast a casual glance over the unfamiliar faces, most all the men in the quaint little pub seeming to have their eyes glued to her womanly curves. There was no denying that Vitani was certainly quite beautiful, practically flawless in that grace and poise that she kept in what could only be regarded as pure and utterly effortless ease. The way that her long and luscious hair fell over her shoulders, how she would slowly lift that martini glass to those pink lips to sip almost delicately at the sparkling golden liquor that she so often enjoyed when she wasn't indulging in those expensive red wines or smooth brands, the sugar-sweet smiles that she openly gave to those that she might make ever so breif eye contact with, so very few would be able to see past the part that she played tonight. This was a game she'd been at for much longer than perhaps ninety percent or more of the individuals that had decided to come to Red on the Water coincidently on the very same evening she'd decided to. It was amazing how much one could learn in one and three-quarter centuries. There was little that escaped the fae woman's attention these days, especially when she was looking for someone - or rather someone - that might just prove interesting enough to hold her frightfully fragile interests. She would hardly protests to being approached by another woman, heterosexual or otherwise, but that wasn't exactly the flavor of entertainment that Vitani was hoping to find as she contentedly remained there in her seat at the bar. There was a man that attempts to approach her now, settling into the seat beside her as he leans back against the bar with elbows resting on the polished surface."Hey there, gorgeous. Looking for some company tonight?", drawls the dirty blonde man in that black printed t-shirt and torn faded blue jeans. She turns to him then, resting those pale green eyes over him as she flutters those dark lashes before giving allowing her gaze to drink him in, finding him about as satisfying as cheap, trashy wine, though she keeps that smile like honey upon her elegant features while she lifts tag glass back up to her lips."As a matter of fact, I am. However, I'm sorry to say that it's not you, darling", she purrs softly in those silken words before she turns away from him altogether, her first warning to the stranger that he best leave to make room for the next contestant. She could easily see through the way that he dressed and the cheap body spray that he wore on his skin that the bold man wouldn't be of any use or interest to her. She can hardly keep the wicked amusement from her peridot eyes when the man practically wears the look of overwhelming and morbid defeat as he slips away into another part of the bar where his male friends sat, laughing at his failed attempt to win her favor. It would take more than an air of confidence to capture her intrigue, Vitani after so much more than looks and smooth pick-up lines. Perhaps if all she was in search of was male companionship, she might have toyed with him a little more to see if he was worthwhile, but he was far too lacking in anything else of interest. Not everyone could be a winner in this little game of hers that she thoroughly enjoyed playing. It was as simple as that. She'd seen him just as he stepped into the pub, those tattoos adorning his skin making the man hardly able to escape her sharp gaze as he takes in his surroundings, emerald green eyes flicking briefly over the intricately placed decor. In a matter of moments, she takes in his much more sophisticated sense of attire compared to the man who'd been the first to approach her and the first to face swift rejection. There was a confidence that seemed to rest over the well-dressed man with sleeves rolled up to indicate that he was also rather prideful in his clean and sharp appearance. Finally, someone that might just keep her night from being a gross disappointment. She turns her back to him though before their eyes meet, returning her attention to that champagne for a moment as she waits curiously to see just where the man would move those blackened chess pieces before deciding what her counter strategy might become. Those all too sensitive and delicately pointed fae ears of hers can hear someone approaching the bar, and when he moves easily into the seat beside her, she hardly as to turn her head to know that it was the man of her present and painfully temporary interest. He places those muscled arms on the polished surface, pale peridot eyes flickering over the detail for a moment before finding their way to to his face as he addresses the pretty and oh so ordinary bartender without so much as a side glance in Vitani's direction. She lifts a perfectly arched brow at him then as she listens to those smooth baritones as he orders a lemon drop. An unusual drink choice for a man for his appearance and stature. What she found even more curiois beyond the fact that he seemed to be intentionally ignoring her - an approach that wasn't one she often received but there had been many different styles she'd witnesses and judged in her significantly longer lifetime and this was not the first time for such a male strategy - was his scent. A were, hmmm? Yes, this was definitely promising to be quite the night."That's quite the interesting selection for a dashing man such as yourself. Almost as interesting as your tattoos", she remarks in a voice like milk and honey, smooth and sweet as pale green eyes blink up at him from beneath those perfectedly dressed lashes. No more than perhaps a few moments pass between the fae woman and the were she seemed to have drawn in before those sensitive ears catch the sound of another approaching from behind them now. Well, well... Wasn't this just proving to be quite the evening? It had been some time since she'd found herself in the company of two men at the same time, but of the handful of times that she had, they had proven to be very much entertaining for the fae woman. Like most beings, Vitani was certainly not opposed to idea for variety and the opportunity to watch two men interact with herself on the mix. When she turns those pale peridot eyes to face the man however, the entire game changes more than she'd anticipated. She hardly allows for that mask of hers to falter, that smile changing into something entirely different, sultry even, as she studies the fae man moving into the seat on her other side. This man, he fit into every category she enjoyed. He was undeniably handsome with that well-groomed dark hair and hazel eyes, his clothing easily identified as far from cheap - if anything perhaps even being tailor made with just how perfectly the fit him - and that cruel smile bespoke of a man that knew what it was that he wanted out of this world. What's more was the air of power that he held about him, a confidence that went perfectly with those devilishly attractive looks and wealth that he couldn't hide even if he tried. If there was one thing that Vitani had a talent for that was equal to the fae woman's near flawless gift which allowed for her to play any part her heart so desired for the occasion at hand, it was her keen eye for men with money, and she was entirely certain he was one of them. His satin baritones touch smoothly onto those pointed ears as her pale green gaze reaches those dark hazels."Oh, I assure you handsome, had I seen you, I certainly wouldn't have stayed hidden. How it is we've yet to meet until tonight is beyond me", she purrs with a voice like silk up to him before offering her slender hand to him."I'm Vitani. Vitani Lovelace", she says warmly, her name trickling over plush lips still curled into that coy smile. He turns his attention to the were now, and she glances over her shoulder to the tattooed man curiously."Yes, we were just about to exchange pleasantries I believe", she replies to the fae man before looking away from the were and back to the devilish man who'd been the first of the two to greet her. Vitani was very much interested to see where this would lead, all the more certain that whether she were to steal the sheets of either man or not, the fae woman would hardly be leaving the pub disappointed tonight. |
