East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The uptight ones were always the most entertaining to watch unravel. As much as they tried to pretend to be something else, they would always be a vampire in the end...and they knew it too. Perhaps that was why Anna prodded Dareios so, simply to show him that his control over himself was not as airtight as he thought.

Anna rolled her shoulder nonchalantly. "I know how to control. I know how to not get caught. I know how to play with the hunters too." There were many times she hunted in the dark, quietly taking down her victims. There were others too that she didn't care and welcomed the challenge that a hunter brought. They were much more adept at fighting after all. Sometimes the easy human meals became boring.

His rising riling nature didn't bother Anna any as she countered his demands. "Everyone has a place in this world. We aren't all equal. In case you didn't know it goes like this; Humans are at the bottom with hunters only barely above them, and then comes faes who have immortality but not much else, then there's Weres with their ability to move between beast and man, and then comes us vampires who have the immortality of fae and more strength and speed than a Were. Though that leaves witches as a grey area. A well-trained witch is stronger than us all though an un-trained one is just the same as a human." Anna's blue eyes studied Dareios with a clarity that was rarely there. "We can pretend we're something we're not for only so long. Those vampires you have convinced they can walk amongst humans as equals can snap at any minute. How do you think that'd make you feel? ...How long do you think you can put yourself in the middle of humans without snapping? You're going to need an outlet, to be what you really are, or it will happen."

Again, as sweet as pie she spoke in an offer. "I could teach you how to hunt without being noticed...to still be who you are and what you are at the same time. No one would even know."
