East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It isn't easy when it comes to locking herself away from the world. For so long, she was forced to be chained up, controlled and locked away, all because it was meant to save the pack. The feral mind, it came and went, just a few moments of her human mind being tugged away. Yet the consequences that came with the curse was grave. She was the reason why the female Alpha was dead, a child killing her own Mother, it was a great Sin. Yet, it was natural within a pack. Alphas come and go, but it was a far greater sin to kill a child of one, especially when it was the only heir. Yet these rules can be twisted to whichever way it needed to be. It may be a sin to kill the child, but it was, by no means, a sin to punish the child. The punishment was whatever they deemed appropriate, and treating her like a filthy instable animal was what they considered suitable. When truly, if they would have helped her control and manage it, perhaps she would be much better off. However, over time those small amounts of periods when she held a feral mind only increased during certain situations and it wouldn't be long before those small bursts of impairment only lengthen in time.

Within her pack most of them walked around in their skin, only changing when there was a need to. They were a proud pack, they believed their bloodline was far greater than any other were. Talbot was a strong name, and it held sway over particular wolves, alone. It was considered an embarrassment for her parents to have a child that was cursed with a handicap. She would rather walk around on all fours, than try and stand up straight. Even at a young age she had a hard time staying as a human. She felt joy and freedom when she roamed around in her ebony fur, content to play with the world through the eyes of a puppy. As she grew older, they had learned that she was quite good when it came to protecting and providing for the pack, even when they did nothing of the sort for her. They caused the physical and emotional harm, not one dared to stand up and keep her safe. They offered her the bare minimum, water, stale solid items and scraps of meat, enough to keep her alive. The only benefit she held for them was the fact that she was brainwashed into believing that she was bad, and she had to risk herself for the benefit of the pack, when it came to their home being threatened.

Yet right now she had no pack nor ties to anyone. There was no need or reason she had to stick her neck out for the girl that was huddled at her feet. But she had helped others before, only for her benefit. With the leopard King of the Warehouse, she gave him food in order to continue running around the warehouse district. She helped the raven-haired Witch because both would have been killed by the Dark Hunter. The sobbing girl at her feet gave her no benefit or reason that she had to stick around. However, seeing her sadden eyes, only caused the wolf to momentarily connect with the girl, if only for a while. As the girl moved her hand towards her face, she instantly pulled her head back, pink lips pulled back bearing her teeth in a warning way. She did not approve of touch. All her life touch came with pain and she strictly kept anyone from doing such a thing. Friend, Pack, or Mate. Only those three would be allowed such a thing, and since she had none of that, there was no reason to give approval to anyone to even do so. Looking at the Dark Hunter in the café, eyes flickered for a second as the girl began to stand herself up. Taking another step back she was about to make a run for it, before the poor girl began to stammer and freezing in place. Grabbing the girls hand she would give a gentle squeeze before pulling the girl towards her, wishing she would get a move on. Shifting her eyes back to the Dark Hunter, noticing how he was approaching the front door slowly, her voice choked out.

"That is a Dark Hunter...they kill us...come on."

As the Dark Hunter attempted to approach the front door he was blocked by the crowd within the café. Taking this clear advantage, she would tug the girl once more, still gentle but with a little more urgency, as she turned walking down the street. The need to get far, fast, and away from the Hunter only increased. Turning her head, making sure the girl was following, she would continue to lead her down the street. As soon as she heard the faint sound of the bell dinging from the entrance of the café's door her body would drop down to the ground. The familiar pain overwhelmed her as her bones began to shift, her lithe scarred frame was replaced with the thick sleek form of a large species of grey wolf. Ebony thick fur was bristled upwards as the unique grey pattern of her coat seemed to glint a little brighter from the pale lamp lights. Flicking her tail her head lowered as a warning snarl was given to the Dark Hunter as he pulled out some sort of dark metal piece. Grey trimmed ears were pointed forward as her tattered scarred form began to turn in the opposite direction, ready to run. Yet before she began to flee the scene, blue-grey eyes looked to the human girl, her voice brushing her mind with an imperative tone.

"Follow me...okay?"

I'd Rather Feel Pain Then Nothing At All
