The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

As much as she despised the man before her, for whatever reason, Fate seemed determined to force the two to be together at the same time. With as much time as she spent with him, Raven was aware that he didn't speak much. Whether it was because he chose not to or he had no need to. She wasn't quite sure if he was going to be helpful or not. Instead of looking up at him with some sort of hopeful look, she averted her eyes to focus on the cookies lying in the bin. The mention though that the packs followed a God, and that they both came from such an old pack, left her feeling a mixture of things. For one, she felt humbled to belong to an older pack. Raven was aware that they were old, but not that much. As for her pack being traced to wherever it was Frost was from, that bothered her. It was like she was connected to him, not truly, but Raven had no desire to have something similar with him. At least he was kind enough to point out who the Gods were that had their own amulet. Keen to learn more she spoke up her inquiry gently.
In her books the authors would always uses the Greek and Roman mythology Every now and then there would be a reference to Egyptian mythology, but hardly anything about Norse. Blue-grey eyes looked down at the amulet that was in his hand as he seemed focused along the edges. Hearing that he was going to read aloud what they said, only once, she grabbed her phone getting ready to jot it all down. What he was saying didn't make sense. If it was a recipe for a spell then it was one of the oddest sounding she had ever heard. Raven had read through some of those spell books that Serafina had within her home. Each spell weirder than the next, but none held a difficult finding recipe like this one. Already she was trying to figure out where she was going to find these items or even understand them. Hearing that he was willing to help her translate anything should they manage to get to the location she pulled up on her phone the contact section, ready to take down his own phone number.
Raven was well aware that he didn't want her to know about his business. That voice held a bite to it when he mentioned he would not say why he was needing it. Grabbing another cookie she nibbled on it for a moment, her mind still pondering those different items and where she would be able to collect them. Roots of a mountain?! Goodness what was that supposed to be, a rock, a specific rock? And the idea of bringing Serafina along on this excursion troubled her too. The last thing she wanted to do was bring the raven-haired woman any harm. These chains to break...what chains are they? Everyone had their own irrational fears, but Raven had no interest being in a cage or anything near chains. Chains were meant to lock something up. She was locked up for her feralness, but what was it locked up that whoever had those chains, came up with a crazy spell to break it. As soon as Frost made reference on whether or not that was the only amulet she wanted solved, she quickly pulled off the other amulets that were settled around her neck. Passing them along to him, she waited quite anxiously for more answers.
