It didn't seem he had any spare time anymore between yardwork at Adelaide's with Townsend, hanging out at the bistro in the evenings, and then those more adventurous evenings with Adelaide herself.... He didn't seem to have a lot of time anymore just to walk around and enjoy the town. Not that he minded. He liked accomplishing things and all the hard work he put into the landscaping made everything worth it at the end of the day. He liked passing out in his bed (or couch, wherever he made it to) exhausted but satisfied at the end of the day. It felt...routine. Safe. He didn't know when or if it would come to an end but the uncertainty steadied him for now. He was slowly but surely saving up money enough to make things right with his ex landlord and then with Doug, the loan shark who may or may not want his head on a platter anyway for making him look for him. Taylor was sure he wouldn't be happy about him disappearing off the face of the earth like he did but it was in his best interest. Too many threats. He pulled his leather jacket closer around him as the breeze kicked up. Parking his bike on the side between two cars, he strolled toward the park, wanting to just unwind and think for a minute before he made the call to his old land lord. But then he heard a voice calling his name. Or well, it sorta sounded like his name. His gaze snapped around and at first he didn't see anyone but then his gaze caught someone waving their arms like a manic. Chuckling, he shook his head and waved back, recognizing Kat as he strolled toward her. "Fancy seeing you here. Come here often?" He teased playfully, giving her a wink as he put his hands in his pockets and smiled warmly. He hadn't seen her since that day in the bar. He hoped she was doing well since last they'd spoke. She seemed happy enough for the moment. Maybe they would get to catch up. It seemed like life had been a whirlwind of activity since the last time they'd spoke. |
