Bite me

Even though they hadn't known each other very long at all, he had the feeling that Sorcha didn't fear him like most would. Just for the simple fact hes a vampire, he knew most other species would fear him on principle. And it wasn't because she was cocky or thought he couldnt hurt her. It was the comfortable kind of not-fearing because she had an instinct that he wouldn't. Somehow that was comforting to him, to know he could move about and act normal without thinking he might scare her or spook her in some way. Even as a recent kidnapping victim, since he was assuming she didnt go where she was willingly, she was acting so comfortably around him and his staff, like she felt safe. It was nice.
He knew she could tell he was sending her signals of interest. He was usually much more bold when he wanted something but with her, he wanted to take his time, enjoy the chase. It wasnt that she was playing hard to get. More like she was enjoying the chase just as much and he didnt mind the wait. He had forever so why rush a good thing? When he commented on her eating, she sang about the early bird getting the worm and he smirked. "I had no idea you liked worms. Ill be sure to let Adele know before dinner." His eyes twinkled, letting her know he was joking. She gave him a look of pure mischief over her shoulder that gave him the sudden urge to throw her over his own shoulder and take her to the bedroom but he clenched his jaw instead. At her question, he laughed and shook his head. "You're on your own if you attempt such a thing. I wont be a witness to murder."
He could tell he got to her when her face flushed but she was quick to compose herself enough to run after him when he went to the door. He threw it open and marched out before she could stop him, spinning back around to face her as she stepped out onto the step and looked up at him. She said she saw something and he just smirked, leaning over a little to let her brush the hair out of his face. His eyes darkened at just that gesture, his gaze intensifying and suddenly his fangs ached to extend, to claim her in ways he shouldn't be thinking of. He hissed air through his teeth and straightened back up. Then she made a remark about his age and he chuckled. "I guess I'm bound to collect dust at some point." He shrugged nonchalantly. Then she leaned in and kissed his cheek and his skin tingled at the warm touch of her lips on his own cold skin. He almost grabbed her right then, knowing he could do it fast enough where she wouldn't know what hit her but only the giggle from her lips held him back. He couldn't be a caveman when she was acting like a bold schoolgirl. It just didnt seem right.
So instead he grinned and turned to follow, hands already in his pockets and his shoulders slouched. "I can do a lot better tricks than a little sparkling." He murmured darkly from behind her, watching her hips sway suggestively. He caught up to her like it was nothing, slowing his own strides down to walk beside her. At her question of whether it was common for vampires to walk in the day, he shook his head. "No, that is actually one of the truths behind Hollywood. Most cant walk in the daylight. That's just a special trick of mine." He winked. He noticed they were walking toward the north end of town. He glance at her. "So, any special destination in mind?"
