East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The woman absolutely despised the cold. Where she was from, the weather hardly held anything like it did in Sacro. Where she was from; the rain was significantly worse, yes, but it was warm. It was practically bath water. Yet, the rain in the city was nothing like it was back home, each droplet bringing more and more goosebumps to rise from her flesh, her white T-shirt completely soaked through. As much as she hated it, she wasn't one to complain, especially when her companion was doing all the hard lifting, his own thin shirt positively drenched. His shirt clung to him like a second skin, his defined muscles easily seen through the fabric. Taliah watches him carefully, a small frown etched onto her features as the rain continues to pour, the woman well within reach if he needed assistance.

Though, he hardly asks for any as Taliah stands there shivering, watching him work; her white shirt entirely see through now in those short moments from being in the rain, her black undergarment revealed in its entirety. Folding her arms across her chest, she's relieved when Tetradore finally finishes his task, his emerald green eyes meeting her own. The sound of the generator powering to life is practically music to her ears as a small smile tugs at the corner of her lips, despite their frozen predicament. Nodding in agreement to his suggestion, she glances back inside to watch the lights flicker to life and the hum of the coolers can be heard even from where they're standing. "Thank you," she says gratefully, dipping her head slightly as he moves his way back to her. His next words manage to draw a grimace from her features as she tilts her head back to watch the rain, the droplets sprinkling across her face. Truly, it could be refreshing and yet, Taliah wanted nothing more than to curl up somewhere warm and take a nap.

"You do too," she murmurs before leading the way back inside, her small frame shivering despite the warmth of the kitchen. Shutting the door, she promptly locks it before she maneuvers her way through the kitchen, shutting off ovens and lights in her wake, "Stay there for a moment," she says in that quiet voice, not particularly demanding though it was surprisingly blunt. Moving her way into the front area, she quickly closes up and turns off the lights only to return to the kitchen and pause in the doorway, her fingertips hovering over the main light switches, "I'm going to turn these lights off too," she warns right before she plunges them back into darkness. Taliah hardly waits long before she's moving confidently around those prep tables in the dark, her form sidling up next to Tetradore again.

"Come upstairs, the least I can do is dry your clothes," she says, her voice seeming almost too loud in the darkened kitchen. Brushing her hand against his arm, she lightly tugs him towards the stairwell, though she doesn't reach for his hand, certain the man wouldn't run into anything. Pausing for the briefest of moments, she leads them to the stairs, her shoulders shaking from the cold. Taking those stairs slowly, she reaches a door, easily opening it and leading them into the silence of her apartment. There was hardly anything fancy about it, Taliah more practical than anything, though her belongings were well used and loved, the woman not particularly interested in buying new things. Pausing in the living room, there's only a loveseat and a small dining table to seat two people, though there is a old fashioned brick fireplace.

"Let me get the fire going and then I'll grab you a towel," she says, her green eyes glancing over her shoulder to meet Tetradore's gaze. Turning away from him, she slips her kitchen shoes off and pads across the carpet, noting how frozen her toes were. Grimacing, she rubs at her arms before she kneels before the fireplace, reaching for a fire starter. She had learned fairly early on she didn't have any talent in starting fires, therefore; fire starters. Quickly, she ignites it with shaking hands, building the wood around it. It doesn't take long before the mini structure she built catches on fire, the heat absolutely delicious on her skin, she can't help but groan quietly. How badly she wanted to sit there and continue to soak in that warmth, yet, she had company and she wouldn't keep him waiting, the woman nothing but polite.

Pushing herself to a standing position, she folds her arms over her chest again before moving down the hallway and into the bathroom. Snatching a couple of towels, she returns to Tetradore, pushing the two towels into his hands. "Here, you can dry your hair and change in the bathroom," she gestures down the hallway, "I don't have anything that will fit you, I hope you don't mind a towel," she says apologetically, "When you finish changing bring me your clothes, I'll hang them by the fire to dry, it shouldn't take terribly long," she murmurs.
