The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
He just couldn't help himself. When he's caught a glimpse of what his fiance was wearing, he knew he'd have to have something to match. Damon would have laughed at the idea of matching couples in costume not so long ago but now, he couldn't think of any idea with Isolt that he wasn't a part of. Ever since almost losing her for good, he couldn't pry himself away from her for long anyway. Even after these weeks with her back safely in his arms, he still felt like he was missing something, like any night now he would wake up and she would be gone, just a distant memory. He clung to every memory they made like it was his last. He couldn't imagine eternity without her. So if she was going as a sexy mafia woman then damn straight if he wasn't going to be a mob boss to match. So he grabbed a pinstripe three piece suit and a fedora and even got a cane that was a dagger in disguise just to play the part. And damn, if he didn't make it look good. He slicked his hair back and straightened his tie one last time in the mirror. Isolt had wanted to get ready at Red on the Water. He had a feeling she thought she was surprising him with her costume, having no idea that he caught a peek of her outift when he was grabbing his shoes last week. So he would be the one surprising her in the end, or so he told himself. He smirked as he straightened up and pulled the collar up around his neck. Perfect. Then he made his way out to the car, knowing it'd be a short drive to Red on the Water. He'd let her have her fun and he stayed at the house to get ready, but his hands were already itching to touch her again. He drove his usual kind of reckless until he pulled into a spot in front of the tavern. He could already see the staff had been doing their best to decorate for the season. The tavern practically glowed with lantern light. It really looked like Halloween. He made his way to the door and slowly pushed the door open. He knew it was still a little early for the guests but he was most eager to see the bar's owner most of all. He leaned the cane against his hip as he stopped in the doorway, glancing up the stairs where he could make out her sexy silhouette. His lips tugged into a smirk. "Heya, toots, how's it swingin?" |
