I'm about to make my own way, heaven help me keep my faith The sable haired witch can feel her icy blue eyes growing almost heavy, despite having drank nearly half of her coffee. She tucks a strand of that sable hair behind her ear before taking another sip of that dark, tasty liquid. Kathryn then feels her pocket begin to vibrate and looks down to see messages from her grandparents, asking the sable haired witch if she received the books they had sent her. A smile crosses her face as the strand of sable falls back into her face, but so caught up is she in the moment of thinking about her family, she even feels a moment of quiet laughter arch across her lips near silently, that small smile touching her lips as if painted on with all the care an artist shows for their creations. Blue eyes close for a moment as Kathryn feels a warm sense of peace wash over her. After the sable haired girl found out she was a witch, she had lost a connection with her family. Kathryn had learned that they had lied to her, that they had known all along that she was a witch, that she had powers and they had kept it a secret from her. But then, one day, the witch with dark chocolate colored tresses had decided that perhaps there had been a reason, that her grandparents had never led her astray before and that they had always cared for her the best they could, and with a gentle smile on her face, she had booked a flight and flew out to see them for a few days. Her grandparents had picked her up from the airport, embracing her with tight hugs as if it had been lifetimes since they had seen one another. They had taken the witch with dark chocolate colored tresses into the city and they had sat down and talked and they told the dark haired witch what they knew. It was a long talk around the kitchen table, filled with breaks to make coffee, refill their cups, run out of coffee and make more. Kathryn asked questions, she received honest answers, and the witch realized how much her grandparents loved her and how they were doing only what they thought was right. During the middle of this conversation, something strange stirred within the brunette young woman, something that she had not felt in quite sometime, through all of this talk of magic and witchcraft and covens, Kathryn realized she missed her brunette mother. And, with a smile, stranger still, she realized that the feeling was not entirely unwelcoming as it may have been before in her earlier years. Her grandparents had told the young witch that her mother had had amazing magical abilities, control over all four of the elements and that Kathryn may end up possessing the same as well. This had promoted a warm simper from the witch. The young witch is so caught up in thinking of the little reunion she had with her grandparents with that pretty smile on her face that she was certainly entirely unaware of who was coming and going within the coffee shop. She simply remains in that comfy arm chair, enjoying that rush of caffeine in her veins and a warm drink in her hand. But then she turns that face and that beautiful smile of hers along with it as a voice reaches her. Silver blue eyes move underneath those thick lashes out to where the voice was heard and she casts him a smile as she sees him just about ready to sit down anyway before the question seemed to have entirely slipped from his mouth. "Well," she says, a bit of humor behind those aqua eyes of hers. "If I said no now, that would just be rude, wouldn't it?" She says before extending her hand in the universal sign of 'please, sit' or 'this seat is all yours.' Blue eyes flicker to the stack of folders before darting back to the man. "And I thought I had a lot paperwork as a student," she says with humor. "Though you certainly don't look like a student to me," she says, pale blue eyes taking a closer look at the man. "So what do you do?" The sable haired witch asks with a kind smile towards the man. "Or do you want me to guess?" |
