The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
It was an odd situation no doubt to an outsider looking in, and to be fair it was outside the norm for the slender woman as well, but she was not in the mood to overthink the situation. To feel so safe and secure wrapped in the arms of a vampire might have been unusual or foolhardy, but Carolina was not in the mood or mindset to overthink her situation. It was easier and much more enjoyable to simply give in to the relentless push and pull that seemed to create a vortex whenever the two of them inhabited the same space. Combined with the potent cocktail of alcohol coursing through her system, and add a smidge of post-traumatic stress disorder, Carolina felt like she was simultaneously floating through space while free falling. It was pleasant in a freeing type of way, she had a lot of baggage to let go of and while it would no doubt be there to greet her when she sobered up she could enjoy the reckless abandon for now.
Despite his own solid determination to keep her at arm's length now, the glint in the blonde's somewhat hazed eyes said she was on a different tract. The rather cool palette the hard planes of his chest supplied were a wonderful contrast to the higher heat her Were body produced, and as the soft-inflection of the foreign words left his lips to the nearby bodyguards it provided the most wonderful rumble in his chest. She nearly purred at the combination, the appeal for more falling thickly from her mouth as he looked down to her once more. Her hazel eyes swimming with shades of blue and green locked back on to his own as his fingers ran delicately across her cheek and he obliged. Halfway through with no idea of what he was saying her eyes fluttered closed and she pressed softly into his touch getting lost in the rhythm of whatever it was he had decided to say. "Mama Mia," she whispered with a breathy laugh, not sure if he would get the reference. She had no idea what he had said, but it didn't matter. It allowed her imagination to take the words and run, twisting them into whatever fantasy suited her whims at the moment.
Of course she picked back up with her jest regarding her taste, easier to joke about such a delicate and unique topic she was finding rather than sit and think too hard about it, especially in her current state. She was rather pleased to know he found her taste so enjoyable, in an odd way, and that she did not taste like tofu or broccoli. Her inner feline stretched and preened a bit at the thought. "Good, I would hate to... disappoint." She mused, her attention diverting as the thick body guard reappeared with her renewed drink in hand. She reached out languidly to take it in her hands, tucking them back into her chest and wiggling back into the cradle that Sebastian's lap provided. She took a pull of hers, letting the liquid burn down her throat before the lyrical pull of Sebastian's voice had her eyes dancing back to his.
