East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

for the lips of a forbidden woman drip honey
her speech is smoother than oil
but in the end she is bitter as wormwood
sharp as a two-edged sword
her feet go down to death
her steps follow the path to Sheol

- PROVERBS 5:3-5;;
Serafina was hardly perturbed by the grumble to his masculine voice with the cup of tea in his hands. She knew all too well that the taste of most of her brews were rather unpleasant. However, no one paid her to make delicious drinks. It was the potency of her spells they liked and wanted and it was that which she delivered. Her grey tinged gaze glanced upwards as his voice softened, a small frown gracing her sweet heart lips. She was hardly one to pass judgement upon an individual's character so easily, not when she had been right there in the seat next to him, willing to contribute to the death or another. "We all have our ghosts in our closet." She commented simply, entirely ignorant of just how close to the truth she was. In silence she'd studied his wounds before declaring that her regimen of tea had to continue of he wanted any hope of returning to his previous state by magical means alone. Briefly her lips pressed together as she studied him, her ebony locks shaking ever so slightly. "The tea isn't just for your pain, Davante. It's to mend together those broken bones. It's to bring my magic into your system internally. By all means if you prefer to let them heal the old fashion way then, have at it." Serafina offered him the smallest of shrugs, attempting to give off the notion that she didn't really care, even if it was far from the truth.

She hated to see the consequences of their failed attempt to murder the vampire. As much as she dared not to admit it, Serafina couldn't help but to feel that him being here in this state was her fault. She should have put in some kind of fail safe in the case of other species, maybe some silver? Started with a base of holy water instead? Something. If she had just had the foresight to know what they had been going up against, he could have walked home in one piece without...well, all of this. A soft sigh left her lips as she watched the man in front of her tense, his teeth gritting as if he was preparing for the onslaught of pain she was going to provide. She didn't particularly like the position she was placed in, hardly wanting to be the cause of another scar upon his figure (even though she knew her potion would hardly leave a mark upon his skin). Gingerly the girl dipped on fingers into the salve she had created, letting the substance cover her fingertips as she approached the man upon her work bench.

Carefully she reached out, placing herself closer to him then necessary. Her fingertips touched the first grossly colored bruise, her touch massaging the salve into his skin, knowing all the while that the flesh was sensitive and the process was hardly going to be gentle. It was that knowledge that coaxed the woman to attempt the next obscene thing she did. It was out of her element but the feelings behind the action certainly were there. She leaned into him, letting her lips brush against the flesh at his neck as if the girl were attempting to provide some kind of distraction from the pain that might assault his body. She worked her way slowly from his side to his chest and his arm, her kisses caressing his neck and then his jawline, as if they would simply whisk all the pain away. It was peculiar really, that the female should so eagerly so such affection but, perhaps, he was worth more then he had originally thought himself to be.
