East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Wake up to your dreams
And watch them come true

The trust that the parents had in Nadya and her ability to handle situations was clear in that moment. Their curious and some judging looks that were cast on Frost as he took hold of the child's chin remained just that. They returned to their own children, released from class or stretching in the studio, as Nadya hastily made her way to Frost and Maeve. She was certainly surprised but delighted to see the young girl decided to take her up on the offer of class.

Nadya smiled warmly at the girl, gently laying her hand in reassurance on the top of her head before asking after the Were she had last seen the girl with. Roman had certainly seemed to take on the caregiver roll that Nadya had expected to see him joining Maeve. Maeve's response of an Andras character caused Nadya to raise a brow but she shrugged it off. Maeve seemed in working order so who was caring for her now seemed to be doing a decent enough job that Nadya wasn't going to press any further about it. The appearance of her curious twins turned the conversation and Nadya readily introduced the 4 year olds to the fae child. "You two can go color in the office now. When Frost is done he'll take you home with him." There was no need to keep the twins in the studio for longer than necessary. Their attention spans were likely to wane so it was best for them to play back at home.

Maeve's distraction with the twins allowed Nadya to glance back at Frost, making a jest at his past prolific activities. It seemed to trigger young Maeve, the word fae drawing the girl from her distraction to readily cower behind her. The behavior confused both Weres. "Oh you're the bridge troll for sure and going to eat them." Nadya smirked and rolled her eyes at Frost as she glanced down at Maeve. "He's not going to hurt you." That soft reassuring smile remained on her features as she left Frost finally formally introduce himself to Maeve. "See? He's my mate and a Were like me. That means he's my partner, much more than a boyfriend...I trust him with my life and he has never let me down. He'd never harm a child." Nadya wasn't sure Maeve would quite understand the concept of a mate at such a young age so tried to explain it the best she could. It was just far deeper than being a boyfriend. Nadya glanced between the pair, "It doesn't stop him from messing around though." Vampires, honestly.

"Has someone told you that you're going to be taken away?" Nadya knew that children could misunderstand the conversations of adults but if she had been threatened then Nadya wanted to know by whom and who they were saying was going to take Maeve away.
