East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

How very different the world of horses were then that which was romanticized upon Alexis' favored movie screen. Such naivety was...endearing, in a way, though Alexander was certain she would not enjoy the strict tutelage his own students were subject to. His very mention of such a fact, however, caused her brow to raise in a mock challenge. A soft chuckle reverberated upon his lips at her teasing tone and were it anyone else, he would have wholeheartedly believed such innuendo was entirely intentional. But Alexis -- such flirtatiousness was....bold for the usually timid girl, much less the way her gaze turned back towards the direction she was headed rather than lingering upon him. "I have been known to be...difficult before, at times." He answered as a ghost of a simper fluttered across his features. The conversation, however, drifted back towards the movies in question that so made up Alexis' knowledge on the equine kind. He was hardly against seeing them, the Dark Hunter insisting he was looking forward to it, much to the delight of his girlfriend. The rest of the ride progressed in relative silence and soon enough, the pair found themselves back in the barn just in time for the sun to set behind the horizon.

Alexander was the first to dismount, the man nothing but efficient as he saw to his stallion before his attention returned to Alexis and her sweet mare. The Dark Hunter reached up towards his girlfriend, easily lifting her up in the process before, gingerly, placing the giggling girl down on the ground beside him. He watched with a warm smile as she said her own goodbyes before returning the mare to where she belonged. It was only once everything was put back the way they had left it that Alexander insisted on returning Alexis to the Ark. After all, he had little desire to know she was walking the streets at night, even with her capabilities. He knew well the sort of monsters that crawled through Sacrosanct's underbelly. Thankfully, Alexis hardly protested, the woman instead insisting she had fun. "Good, I'm glad." He responded. After all, it was Alexis' first date and he had aspired to make it a good one. Gingerly, Alexander took her hand within his as he led her back to his awaiting vehicle.

The Ark, when they arrived, was as brightly lit as usual, it's patrons coming and going from the gangplank located at the side of the ship. Business, it seemed, was doing well, not that Alexander was terribly surprised. He hardly spoke a word on the boat or it's activity, however, his gaze instead turned towards Alexis as the car came to a stop several feet away from the Ark's entry. He leaned over, letting his lips press with gentle affection against the corner of Alexis' own. "Good night, Alexis. I'll see you on Monday." He offered, letting her get out of the car and return to the pack that was surely awaiting her.
