The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

There was something oddly comforting feeling the soft touch of Serafina's hand rest atop her head. For some reason everything felt completely right standing at such a close proximity toward the young witch. One grey-trimmed ear folded back when she felt the fingers trail along the softer part of her head running gently past said ear. A slow wave of her bushy plume swayed side to side behind her as her shoulder continued to lean into her thigh. Hearing the grunt of nonchalance caused the she-wolf to whine sympathetically. Her apology, however sincere, didn't seem to carry enough weight to appease the raven-haired witch. While she entered her messed up shop the lupine stood at the doorway, blue-grey eyes making a sweep to determine just how bad of a state the place was. Well, it wasn't as bad as she thought it was. Some shards of glass laid on the floor, liquid spilt along the countertops slowly dripping on the floor, and some books tumbled over here and there. Well, it could have been much worse, she thought as she gave a heavy sigh. Lowering her head she shuffled in picking up her grey paws and placing them delicately to the wood floor, careful to make sure she didn't scratch up her paws, or cause any more messes. Finding a safe spot, where there wasn't a lot of debris on the floor or around her, she managed to stand in a corner. Sitting down, easing on her haunches, she wrapped her tail around her and simply watched quietly. It was when Serafina spoke that drew a soft growl from the every observant she-wolf, eyes narrowed as her tail slammed on the wooden floor in agitation.
"Yes it does matter...if it comes back then we'll need to know what to do with it."
Clearly that winged miscreant was a threat, a threat that must be dealt with swiftly. Raven shook her head in disappointment, ears flattened atop her skull, as she once again slammed her tail into the floor. Instead of relying on Serafina to teach her what a familiar was supposed to do the young bookworm decided to find as many books as she could with that particular subject matter. Apparently familiars were pets...pets that were meant to bond, connect, care, and protect their charge. The only thing that bothered her was the idea that she would be some sort of 'pet.' If there was one thing she would put a stop to, should she see any of the signs, it would be Serafina treating her as some mangy dog. The very thought of being a pet was extremely nauseating and she would not tolerate it at all. Raven had seen how Tobias was treated when he was under the control of that venomous woman and the very thought of wearing a collar was...undignified. At night when he had ran away from her clutches she had to listen to the boy rant about how Risky was being mean to him and Tetra and all she could feel for the two was sympathy. Not wanting anyone else to feel that way for her the curly-haired woman was ready to pounce on the issue should it ever occur. But the idea of being a pet wasn't her main concern, especially at this moment, instead she was concerned with how her charge was handling this situation. As of right now they needed to solve this issue...and now.
As she watched her witch move about in her shop the lupine would move quietly towards her. Grey paws once again carefully moving through the shards of glass and the fallen liquid that could, maybe, have the ability to singe her fur â€" or worse â€" turn her fur pink. With a sharp bark she leapt onto one of the cleaner countertops crouching low she would being to lie down. Looking at the girl, while perched on her new spot, eyes would narrow once more as her ears pinned tightly back against her skull in displeasure. As she unclasped the necklace she would growl at the object, as if it would bite back at her, glaring at it as she spoke with utter disdain, that deadpan voice easily penetrating the confused witch's mind.
"So...you find jewelry on the sidewalk and you decide to wear it? Not the smartest idea you ever had...perhaps he was looking for it?"
