Whenever the blonde-haired woman quipped back at him, Dareios merely smiled, usually impressed by her quick banter and even more intrigued by her frustration and intellect. He mused that if he had to run into a disgruntled citizen of the city, at least this one was wise and interesting. And so their slow trek began. They passed through the exit to the park and back onto the busy blocks of the outskirts of downtown, cars and trucks whizzing by in the early evening hour on the damp asphalt streets. He stood stiffly with his newfound companion at one stoplight, then led the way briskly across the road and onto the sidewalk as they moved farther north, leaving the skyscrapers behind them. "Perhaps I can help you find who are you looking for. Or at least continue to point you in the right direction." Dareios offered, after several moments of silence passed between them. "I live in Anacosta Heights in the North part of town..." He said next, his dark beady stare shifting to her for a reaction. It was a quite personal detail, not one he gave out to many publicly, given his status in the city. But the vampire mayor hoped it was a kernel of a truce, and maybe she'd see it that way, too. "I've lived here for quite some time." Dareios would be lying if he said he wasn't interested to know more about why she was here in Sacrosanct. Given her age and power, she was a force most other supernaturals could not ignore. That made this buzzing city rather dangerous for her, no matter how powerful she was. But he wasn't about to try to manplain that to her. "Most of the northside of town are neighborhoods. It's much quieter there, than down here, nearer to the city center."
