The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I will
in spite of the ache
He was already coming towards her, long strides to hopefully bring him close. He knew he couldn't prevent the impact that was bound to happen, but just maybe he would be able to get her to a hospital before she died. There was no scenario in Henry's mind where Alexis would come out of this unharmed. There was no way a human vs car would lead to a human walking away. Alexis would probably die before he could even get to her to even attempt to heal her.
But as he got close, he saw the way her arms went up to her face to brace herself. Henry watched in awe as the car seemed to stop short of hitting her. But the car didn't just stop, it was stopped by some sort fo force he couldn't see. The car's front in smashed in, the airbags deploying in a cloud of powder and a loud bang!
As he came closer, he could see the way she looked around, confused as if she didn't realize what had happened. Did she have a power she didn't realize she had? He came up to her, looking her over as he placed his hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" She looked in a bit of shock.
Eyes looked over to the stunned driver who was beginning to stumble out of his car. People were calling 9-1-1 and trying to figure out what happened. He looked to the driver before he called out to him. "Are you hurt?" The man's nose was obviously bloody and disfigured, do doubt broken. "I'm fine...is she okay?" The man was obviously concerned. Henry left Alexis' side for a moment before he came up to the man. He took a look at him before he hovered his hand over the man's face. The man protested a little bit, but as his nose began to set and heal, he didn't complain. He only looked shocked.
Once the guy was healed of any injuries, Henry moved back towards his packmate. "For real, Alexis, are you hurt? What the fuck happened?" He was just as confused as the bystanders, but at least he had some knowledge of the magical abilities people had here.
