Many things he had heard in his lifetime that would bring forth a multitude of emotions and thoughts. Still would he remember the first time he was in Ireland just to simply escape and not be an assassin- Would he find some sort of confusion in hearing a drunk Irishman scream "Erin Go Bragh" out in the open for no reason other than the reason being because he was inebriated and full of pride in his country. He didn't know what it meant at the time, but knowing now? It made perfect sense. Alas, he'd let that memory drift into the winds of time. The Greek did notice how quickly his question was dismissed by the fiery witch before him. Did he expect a reaction like that- Rather, response and action? Whatever. Both seemed to make sense. Like a sponge did Gideon soak up the details even if they were seen as not very important to some.
To the assassin? Everything had value, and use. You took it down and you kept it close. And when the time arrived? You used that resource. As he continued to listen, his eyes trailed off occasionally to the figures walking about the city and around the coffee shop. His brain processed every detail, color, fabric, walk- You know name it. He was absorbing his environment while still showing he was paying attention to the conversation.
"Stepping foot out the front door is often considered dangerous business."
He quipped with a light chuckle under his breath. Huh. He found that amusing even from himself.
Sometimes he'd swear time slowed down when he'd start looking out into crowds and such- Maybe it did in a sense. Nevertheless, his attention was immediately brought full circle and held when Serafina had made mention of a place of worship: St. Michael's.
"Only heard of it. I probably missed it by sheer coincidence. You should know how I get at times." Gideon would reply with a slight smile. "Get so absorbed into things you forget to look at the buildings around, yet I still make it a point to memorize landmarks or buildings like that."
No...Maybe he shouldn't have memorized that location yet. Now seems like the perfect time. His eyes seemed to light up, but kept his composure about himself and remained emotionless. Funny how that worked.
"Alright..You have my attention. Though you should know I'm not much on confessing. While yes, my untimely death was brought about because of my own selfish deeds, I refused to confess to any other deeds or motives. I took those to the grave, and they're still with me even in this stage of living as I am."
Was it simply the truth? Absolutely. To confess in this line of work was to accept your absolute failure, and to disgrace those in your bloodline, your mentors, allies- Everyone.
"Alas, I will still go and let you know what I think. But, I might require more details...As usual." Gideon said with a grin to her.
