East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Her scent had been thicker in this part of town for a day or so, the white-haired creature having become aware of it almost as soon as it had become something other than utterly unremarkable and yet, at first, he had made no true attempt to seek the wolf-girl he had met some weeks ago within the forests that decorated the city's outskirts. If she wanted something she would make it clear enough, otherwise he simply saw no reason to waste either his time or her own with some mundane form of blather that would achieve nothing other than his own irritation. When her scent however, continued to permeate the air outside and about the Café in which he himself had taken a more personal interest in of late, if only due to it's Hunter owner and the mans infuriating ability to remain unnatural calm, the equine had taken the moment to consider that the girl had actually proven him wrong- and proven herself useful as something other then a rug. In truth he was firmly of the belief the majority of predators made better wall hangings or foot warmers then they did beings and yet on this particular woman his judgement had been so far...reserved. True cunning was rare in a woman, rarer still was one with the spine to make it believable, the very nature of Crow's ability to survive having appealed to that same innate nature within himself, whispering of the girls potential value and yet the success of the task he had set her would prove soon enough whether she was worth his time.

He moved to step easily within the confines of the café, pointedly ignoring Alexander, having made sure as to prevent the Hunter from seeing his human form, hands tucked into his jacket, boots leaving lashings of snow in their wake as he simply moves to make his way towards the seemingly sleeping woman. A week or so had evidently done the girl some good, her form less...haggard and perhaps even slightly more appealing now that some manner of femininity clung to the scraps that had been her frame. His observation passes almost as quickly as his judgement, those violet eyes lingering upon her from beneath that snowy forelock before he simply moves to seat himself, legs lifted haphazardly to cross over one another and rest against a nearby chair- one hand reaching over to pluck the book from her sleeping fingers evidently uncaring as to whether she should wake or not. The Sight Hmm.

"Living in hope are we?"

One eye merely lifts somewhere beneath that tangle of thick hair, lip quirking upward in the vague remnants of a smirk that is neither truly pleasant nor amused and yet seems to cling to both, that ever cool voice so easily seeking to stir the girl into wakefulness and yet, truly, he hardly believed her to be sleeping. A woman like this did not let her guard down so easily as that. He paused only long enough to allow long fingers to grasp the sugar jar, sliding it easily towards his lounging form, a single cube flicked from the jar and slid between his lips. Perhaps his equine form is controlled, yet some parts of himself remain inclined to certain moments of.....indulgence, sugar one of the few he is willing to allow the equine within him to find satisfaction in- before that deep, cool, baritone voice emits once more, further explaining his earlier comment, or so it would seem.

"Sight seems something of an ambitious power to aim for, although perhaps it explains the name you gave me, Crow. The wolves of this city do seem to have an affinity for birds now don't they?"

That he has done some of his own research is evidently clear, the man rarely given to speak without meaning behind it, frosted lyrics holding something almost akin to a tease of sorts though as to the rules of the game he plays he hardly feels the need to share just yet, tossing the book back towards the woman, his knowledge of its plotline perhaps betraying the fact he has evidently read it, arms folding across his chest now. Unless it is needed after all, why bother mincing words? He always did enjoy simply getting to the point. Hmm, she had cut her hair, an interesting style and yet not wholly unflattering, merely point the man is simply given to notice, information readily stored all the same.

"I didn't pick you as a coffee drinker, so I presume you have something interesting to share."

One hand merely gestured forward, a silent request to hear the results of her little task. She better have brought his shirt back- women rarely get such a memento from him without letting him at least get a little something from them first. Gift giving really is not his style.
