The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

"He helped make it â€" it is his cub. Tobi can take care of himself and you don't give him much credit- if you tried maybe you'd see. You do not have to leave the cub alone with him, I wouldn't, but that doesn't mean you have to deprive him of seeing and caring for the cub."
Why Nadya continued to think so poorly of the boy she could not understand. Raven knew what it was like to feel other's weight of their opinion knowing that it wasn't of kinder thoughts. It made her feel miserable to know that she was viewed as a monster- one that was supposed to be locked up and beaten to submission rather than be provided some sort of aide and understanding for her condition. It was true that Tobias was a complete 180 from anything of the social norm, but that was not his fault. Why he acted the way he did it wasn't something she could easily explain, but she had slowly adapted herself to fit his needs and help him understand the confusion of how his behavior was supposed to act within this modern day of age. Every now and then there was misunderstandings after a simple explanation, but overall he seemed to comprehend it all once he was given the time to think. His mind rapidly changing and staying focused for short moments. Just because the leopard wouldn't understand fatherhood didn't mean he was supposed to be shut out completely. The cub was his blood, the cub was his and no one should take that away from him- no mater his mental state. While Nadya took the clipboard and began filling it out Raven would bend down placing the baby book back in her bag before crossing her arms.
"You don't understand Tobi like I do. If you can just take a moment and try with him...you'll be surprised and maybe understand that Tobi is just as smart as you or me- he is just different."
It may sound far-fetched, but she had witnessed Tobias and his problem solving skills. They were different. The boy thinking in such a way that it made her wonder if he was really the brilliant one out of all of them. The way he handled problems, solving them, finding loopholes or weakness in whatever situation he was in, doing what was necessary to have the upper hand. Outsmarting those around him. Yes, he may act like a child, but he is far from it if everyone would just have a chance to see such a thing. These were just one of the many qualities she liked in Tobias. The idea that she and Tobias would be a phase was a laughable matter. Both the feline and lupine had trust issues hardly willing to trust everyone. Both were committed in their own way to make this relationship work, both doing things that they may have never done before, overcoming small steps to achieve whatever goal was needed. Such an example would be their sleeping arrangements. Before they slept near one another with as much space as possible between them, sleeping in separate quarters. Now with their fledging trust they had slowly started sleeping closer to one another, until finally they shared the same space, the hammock allowing them not only to sleep at each other's side, but their forms touching one another- touch an extremely sensitive thing for both. It was never voiced allowed, but it was understood that trust was a sacred thing to them and losing someone they trusted was devastating and earth-shattering much more so for them than other people. While the panther explained her reasoning of mistrust for her Raven's eyes moved to the ground for a moment. It was true some predators, like werewolves, weren't the friendliest with other species, but not all of them were terrible. She had heard of prides coming into wolf territory and doing the same thing. It wasn't the right thing to do, but that didn't mean everyone agreed with such a thing. Shrugging her shoulders some her eyes would shift back to Nadya's.
"I can't change the past Nadya. There are some wolves that are bad just as there are some jungle cats that are bad too. But you need to understand that I..."
As the nurse called out the panther's name she stopped talking and followed Nadya along, a buffer between her and the door. As they entered the room her brows furrowed not really sure of the ultrasound equipment and making a beeline for the chair that was next to the oddly looking bed-chair thing that was hooked up to the machines. While the nurse asked Nadya questions and with an awful response, in Raven's opinion, her directions managed to wave away Nadya's response and brought it back to the matter at hand.
"We don't know anything...we don't know how far along she is, how many she will have, or if it is going to be healthy. So...please treat her like you would with any first time mom to be."
