East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

This is, most assuredly, a whim best indulged in the company of a companion or two. Had Harley ever been the type of persona to actually enjoy the sophisticated atmosphere and subtly relaxing nuances of a coffee shop, it would have very well been a whim indulged with far more regularity. Alas, circumstance and time had pilfered from the young redhead the one person she might have liked to share this moment with the most. And so, in an attempt to quall the loneliness that gnawed away at her heart with the malignant vivacity of a metastasising cancer, Isolt had braved the coffee shop she had meandered past on more than a singular occasion. The acquisition of the beverage itself had been admittedly ill-fated, a taste once so warmly rich now held as much pleasure as a mouthful of moistened sand upon tastebuds long ago faded from the joy of human senses. Nonetheless, the long chilled coffee sat beside her to promote the guise that maybe, just maybe, she belonged here. For even this briefest moment in the ever-progressing eve, the girl with the auburn hair could partake of this, her favored charade.

The soft lilt of Ellie Goulding's voice purrs against her eardrums as the delicate bulb of a single digit flicks idly through the digitized pages of her Kindle, the young girl hardly gleaning half of what was offered her beneath the subtle glow of the pearlescent screen. Disappointment is a slowly blossoming bud within her, unforgiving petals unfurling to release their vemon into her worrisome heart. None of it was as she had expected, none of it as she had hoped it would be. Even amidst the pleasantly bustling cafe the youthful vampire found that she felt just as alone as she always did, a realization that lay as the heaviest stone within her weighted gut. And yet no sooner had she resigned herself to the finality of this perpetual emotional isolation, extracting the buds carefully from her ears, did her name ring into the ravenous void of her thoughts.

Pleasant confusion laced with the telling threads of curiosity stitched itself into the fibers of her upturned facade, crystalline eyes skating easily over the lithe figure of the pretty Oriental woman standing before her. A smile blooms easily upon her cherried lips as they form about her own manner of greeting. "Yes, I am...," she falters for a lingering moment, curious perhaps as to how she could be so easily identified by this absolute stranger. "Um, I'm so sorry if this is rude but... have we met?"
