The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

that everything looked this blue through Sinatra's eyes. The fear aroused her. A gurgling gasp tickled her lips as the sudden pressure pushed down on her. Eleanor braced against him, and for him in many ways, cocking her head back to hang behind her shoulder blades and subsequently pushing her chest out and open. She gasped again, the second more of a limp plea as he pulled tight across her neck. Her fingers dug desperately against the sides of the barren concrete wall, hoping to catch a better grip. She was terrified, of course, but this was the way she liked it. Eleanor felt alive with him in control. Her chest rose in quick succession as she struggled to maintain a normal breathe. He knew nothing about her. He just made assumptions. Let him, she thought. Let him punish you. But the moment was fleeting. When he released her, she toppled forward, her spine curving to allow her head to dangle down near her navel, her stomach rising and falling as she gasped for breathe. The light headed feeling lifted eventually, but the blushed color against her otherwise porcelain white cheeks lingered. Eleanor was smiling as she watched him in her weakened state, withering at her perch. "You want me," she managed to blurt out in a hoarse tone. The fine hairs against the back of her neck stand in protest of the coming wind. It's a laboring job for her fingers to grasp at her coat and pull it tight against her slight frame, but she manages to do so before the breeze bellows in, shaking the dark limbs of the silhouetted trees around them. She had been wandering for so long that she'd lost her purpose, if there ever was one to begin with. This life seemed pointless. Eleanor never asked to be a fae. Should he decide to leave, which she knew eventually he would, her life would be reduced to what it was before. Aimless. Cyclical. Nothing. There was nothing keeping her in this city. She would blend in again, and eventually disappear. Eleanor | Fairy | Vinyl |
