East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Life as a hunter was something that Alexander knew the inside and out of. He knew the pains that came with youth and inexperience, he had experienced them himself first hand nearly a millennium ago and seen it over and over countless times since then. He had also witnessed the death of far too many of their kind due to the very same unfortunate phenomenon. Their death's shouldn't affect him, not anymore, and most of the time it didn't except for the simple fact that most were avoidable deaths if anyone had bothered to take the effort or time. Still, after so many even he found it hard to waste the effort, even on the young woman nestled in the corner of his alleyway. He nudged the girl's foot ever so slightly, his blue-green gaze steadfast upon her as he listened to the groan that reverberated within her chest. Despite whatever discontent she might have felt, Alexander was hardly intending to simply leave her be, especially not in a place like this. He stepped back as her eyes flickered open, despite being battled honed, he hardly knew enough of the young woman to trust her enough to stay close.

Her voice reached out to him, the near threat lingering within the air and yet Alexander answered it with only a soft snort. "Yes, Because you look like you in the perfect state for a fight against someone like me." His arms folded over his chest, his eyebrows raised ever so slightly as he glanced down at her. If it was any one thing the Macedonian King excelled at - it was combat and frankly she looked as if she had been through hell already. The fight would be pathetic at best. Her next inquiry, however, caught the man entirely off guard, his blue-green eyes staring at her with an intensity, his lips parted ever so slightly in the smallest display if disbelief. "Really? How recently were you changed?" He inquired, "Where is your maker?" At the very least, she should have been able to detect that. His gaze drifted down the alleyway, his head shaking ever so slightly as a string of foreign words left his lips under his breath. Whomever had turned her had done a terrible job of teaching her anything.

Alexander sighed, reaching up to run his hand through his hair. "I am one of you." He paused just long enough to gesture behind him at the building he'd only just stepped out of. "Come on, you'll get killed sleeping out in the open and I can't have that on my turf, it'll ruin my reputation." He grumbled, though what reputation he was referring to remained to be seen. He turned, leading the way back into the comfortable coffee house, hardly bothering to look behind him to see if she was following. He was, at this very moment, her best hope of survival. If she failed to see that then there was hardly any hope for her to begin with.
