East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Don't try to sleep through the end of the world and bury me alive
'Cause I won't give up without a fight.
The raven hummed and chattered with delight, ebony feathers fluffing up to impress all the eyes that found there way to him. Dalton was handsome as both a raven and a human, and he knew it well. All eyes fell on him and his twin brother Daniel, in shock and intrigue; it wasn't every day you saw a man walking down the city street with a raven perched upon his shoulder. The older twin had opted out of walking, or even flying for that matter, and shifted so he could hitch a ride on the man's shoulder. They were leaving from a modeling job they had taken, and so even if he had stayed in his human form they were sure to grab attention with just how handsome they were. The Wereraven, who always loved being the center of attention, decided to try and help his brother out today. He had stripped, shoving his close into their shared bag they had brought and then shifted. His brother was simply too shy for his own good, and so Dalton was convinced if he could get him a good girl she would be able to help break him out of his shell. His plan started with gaining attention being perched on his shoulder.

It had been two years, nearing three, since the German brothers moved to America to start anew. There was nothing in their home country left for them, and so they had hitched a ride on a cargo ship over to a place of new possibilities. Both Wereraven's had thrived, Dalton in particular, and now they lived the high life in Sacrosanct, a city full of magic and mystery. The ravens were taking the city by storm, having settled down into a comfortable, easy life from their parent's fortunes they had inherited and brought with them. The only thing they lacked here friends, only having each other to keep each other company. Dalton was more sociable and had brought home many ladies and even possible friends, Danny on the other hand was not as social. Dal had not given up on the younger boy, back when they lived in their parent's unkindness (a flock of raven's) the boy had been more social, but since the tragedy, it was harder and harder to get Daniel to be comfortable around others.

It was around noon, the day comfortable and sunny. The city was bustling, but not as much so as it normally was on a weekend. Dalton let out a caw to his brother, obsidian beak biting at the man's ear to get his attention. "Let's get something to eat, i'm starving," he said through the mind link that all Weres shared. Even when speaking through their minds, both boy's german accents were thick. Violet eyes looked around for a suitable place to eat that had an outside area where Dalton could wait. If he tried to follow his brother in he'd be kicked out with words like 'filthy' and 'disgusting'. It ruffled the raven's feathers to think about, he was no filthy pigeon, he was a stunning raven.
