East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when the music's gone

For once in a long while she had decided to go exploring. She hadn't been chasing the pack bond from home to Frost, she had willingly gotten out of bed that morning and showered before dressing in jeans and a simple shirt. She was getting used to this again, the mundane actions of waking, bathing and leaving. Instead of going out to the yard she was able to roam this city she was slowly becoming used to. She knew to avoid certain areas, a clear line drawn in the pavement separating her from the West side and somewhere she would never willingly go on her own. She had no reason to.

She meandered again down the East side, of this she knew it was safe, underneath all the metal and City smells she would occasionally glimpse a faint whiff of Frost. He seemed to visit here a lot and even more particularly was the coffee shop she'd found herself outside of. She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment of hesitation before she wrapped her fingers around the cool metal of the door and pulled it open. Warmth enveloped her and with it came the scent of coffee and sugar and she all but hums in pleasure at it. Avoiding the counter she instead turns to survey the establishment. The last time she had been here, she'd been torn and bloody and bruised and she'd asked the owner to show her how to fill those pastries but she had gotten spooked. Too many people, too many new things and had instead ran.

Not this time though, this time she was determined to stay, determined to try and find a way to relax. She ignores the counter for now, instead moving to study the walls and the various items that lay on display. She doesn't move closer to them, instead she just looks, she pulls a breath in trying to familiarize herself with the surroundings and surprised to scent a few Were's around the establishment. They mostly ignored her, though some shot her a curious look or two. At the approach of footsteps she realized she'd been standing in the middle of an aisle next to a table, "Oh I'm sorry," she says with an absent minded look over her shoulder.
