East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Aptitudes was a conversation that Alexander had always found himself rather enjoying. Through out his infinitely long life time, the man had observed and been on the receiving end of numerous different abilities and in time he had come to learn much of their limitations and capabilities - ones that perhaps even the users were oblivious too. Alexander shook his head firmly in response to Frost's contemplative inquiry. "No, some teleportation abilities are different then others. Some will only ever take the user regardless, some require contact while others who are more...adept can teleport others by merely thought alone." There was a small shrug on his shoulders as he regarded the man in front of him. "In theory we should only need to be in contact with one of them when they teleport. If they are in contact with each other then we can easily be pulled along too." It was, of course, just a theory. Alexander had hardly known a friendly hunter with the same power in order to test the limits of it - however, it wasn't as if his own ability had ever led him astray either, surely leading to the man's confident nature.

It was the small jab at Bessus' name that saw a weak simper trace itself across Alexander's masculine features, his head nodding ever so slightly in agreement. "Who can say really." He commented simply, "His father was a...honorable man." Alexander added, leaving out his own history with the fellow. The moment, however, was entirely fleeting as the conversation turned to more pressing matters - matters that Alexander found himself entirely willing to refuse to budge on. Perhaps it was that authoritative nature but from the very beginning he had seen the spark of rebellion within the steed - one that had continued with every pressing moment the pair had spent together. It was quite clear to the conqueror that the were-stallion was entirely used to being the most dominant creature within the room, any room. Unfortunately for him, the Dark Hunter entirely refused to play by such rules. He refused to submit in the same fashion that he had always refused to do so - making a very clear point to ensure that Frost understood that Alexander hardly needed him in any fashion. His presence would accepted only because of Alexander's benevolence. It was a lesson that seemed quite difficult for his companion to learn, especially considering the fashion at which he finally yielded.

His eyebrow rose ever so slightly at the mention of 'working together', an aspect that was perhaps as new to Alexander as it was to Frost. "I suppose so." He commented simply, falling silent once again as he contemplated what he did know of the mounted party. In truth he'd hardly took an active interest in them, at least not within the last few centuries. Once, nearly a millennium ago, Alexander had joined their ranks but much time had passed since then and now and many faces had too changed since. His plans were strategic, superior to a fault but often consisted of considerable thought. "Hm? No, I suppose not." He commented, glancing up at the man's inquiry. His gaze shifted from the fellow in front of him to the nearly relaxed clothing he wore, his eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly at the jab though he failed to understand the joke what so ever. After all, Alexander had lived far before such pristine hygienic habits had existed. Never the less, the hunter did proceed to grab a jacket, ensuring he had some weapon on hand, hardly trusting the were enough to leave his cafe unarmed.

When at last he did fall in step beside the fellow, his blue-green gaze was squarely positioned in front of him, observing the area they walked through as he considered the best method to get to Bessus. Unfortunately, silence was not something that was afforded to him, his companion's questioning lingering upon the air. A soft sigh left the Dark Hunter's lips though her hardly seemed particularly perturbed by the inquiry. After all, it was a line of questioning he had been asked many times before - by those few through out the years that had learned of his true identity. "I got sick." He stated simply, "We did not have the antibiotics that you have now so there was little that could be done. I would have died had it not been for my maker." Alexander responded, before adding with a hint of disdain, "There was none of this poisoning nonsense - my army loved me."
