The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I watch as the creatures continue to pour in. Vampires and witches and weres, oh my. I nod my head with a smirk to Ceara when she walks in. "Good to see you again, Ceara. You make a fine Mortecia." I chuckle at her comment before holding out my arms. "What can I say? It suits me." I give a lop sided grin. I glance down as she puts her hand on my arm, the cool touch not altogether unpleasant. I remember well the night I took her out on the town and gave her a hunt I'm sure she'll never forget. By that I mean a guy in the back alleyway behind her club that was just begging to be drained. I could tell she was growing bored with her immortal existance and I just wanted to show her what it means to be a vampire again. I hope I accomplished that. I watch as she heads further into the pub, tilting my head at the beginnings of an interaction with the first vampire to come in, a Zorro tonight, it would seem. Meanwhile two witches are starting to get cozy at the bar. Guess this night is starting to pick up after all. The were I remember as Raven walks in next. Little Red Riding hood, hm? "Interesting choice." I can't help but whisper as she moves by me, thinking herself hidden in her cloak. Other weres start to bustle in now, one dressed as a vampire before a vampire comes in dressed as...Dracula? How original. I chuckle and shake my head. I look up as Dav's familiar figure moves through the crowd. Well, looky what I see. Could he very well be dressing up as his all time favorite role model and best bud? I'm touched really. I could go say something just to rub it in a little but I see him inviting a pretty little were to dance so I decide to leave things alone. Let him have his fun for now. And there she is, the goddess of my nights, herself. My eyes find no one else now as she moves along the pub, gliding more than walking, so graceful is her silhouette. She speaks to Davante and the were, calling her Alexis. Her voice is that of angels. When her eyes meet mine, I swear my cold dead heart starts to beat again. The simper on her devilish lips is a temptation all on its own and I can't help but lick my own in invitation even as she finds someone else to greet. She makes her way to Raven, ever the gracious hostess even though I hear her complimenting my own skills. As another costumed character draws near to the two, my hackles rise if only a little. I know that figure and I can smell his attraction to a certain red head from here. This must be Tetradore, the were who shared her torment at the hands of her maker and who became a close friend, perhaps a little too close for my own liking. My fangs are extended before I know it, though I haven't moved from my post by the staircase. I can hear his gentle encouragement Isolt, nothing if not polite. When he turns his gaze to meet mine, I make sure to wipe my face of all expression, giving him nothing but a blank slate to look upon though my eyes burn with untold desires. An intense gaze is what I give him, as if I could read his very soul and when he finally turns away, I have to resist the insurmountable urge to grab the first person and drink to my heart's desire. Just to see his eyes rove over her so freely, it makes me want to pry them from his very skull. Though he may be nothing but a friend; he cares for her and I can see it. The lights flicker in the pub for a few seconds and that's when I look down, noticing that my fists are clenched and I'm taking out my insecurities on the kinetic energy in the room. Pushing it all out in a deep exhale, I slowly uncurl my fingers, watching them every step of the way as the pub brightens once more and the music resumes. More weres pile in and I force myself to look away, watching the dark rogue known as Tobias head toward them now. He's one I might even consider a friend of sorts, though he is a bit odd. He is talking about a stick and it helps to ease the tension building in my frame. It attacked him? My lips twitch in humor. The party continues to fill up and more vampires and witches alike head to the bar to satisfy their alcoholic needs. I listen back to the group I can't stop looking toward if only because she's still there, hearing Raven thank her. At her sudden look of shock though, I furrow my brows, following her gaze to a cloaked figure with a staff on the other side of the room. I've never seen this particular fellow before though his smell screams were. Could there be a territorial battle going on? The staff in his hand is suspicious of Tobias saying a stick attacked him. I tilt my head, curious of how this will play out and knowing my luck, Isolt will make sure she's in the middle of it to defend her friends which means I'll be pulled into the middle of it. |
