The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Sebastian EllingtonI need to feel you again, feel my lips on your skin
for one night I could be him, no, I could be better
The vampire's crystalline blue gaze watched as his companion collected his things from the bar front before his hand ever so comfortably settled upon Darien's waist. He all too easily led the man out of the bar, his thoughts not even drifting to the business men that gathered around their table. In truth, Sebastian had forgotten of them all together in his overwhelming need for Darien and the evening he anticipated with the man. He was, however, aware in the shift within fellow beside him. He could feel his body tense as they passed and briefly, Sebastian's gaze drifted towards the man at his side in an fashion that was both inquisitive and concerned. However, the vampire didn't inquire after the peculiar shift in Darien's demeanor. Instead, the moment after they stepped out of the dingy bar and into the cool crisp air, Sebastian was all too keen to change the topic instead to what the thereafter might include. After all, the bar was behind them now and the vampire was used enough to the wide berth his species was often given to not even consider that whatever had perturbed his companion within the establishment might follow them out here.
In truth, Sebastian rarely actually bothered to plan out where his adventures were to go. He wasn't exactly the "dating" type and so there had never been a need for any sort of ingenious retreat to some romantic hideaway. His intentions were always dead set and likewise too his powers helped to ensure his evenings went so often from bar straight to bed. It was perhaps this practiced experience alone that saw the vampire hardly hesitate on his offering of their evening. What he did note, however, was the fashion in which Darien's facial features seemed to shift at even the mention of returning to where ever Darien had called home. It was a reaction that was so blatant it quite took Sebastian by surprised. Did Darien not want to go home with him? Even despite his affinity? Did he not unleash enough of his power upon the man? Was he somehow immune to it? He couldn't be, Sebastian would have felt it, he was certain and yet, a small part of him somewhere deep, deep inside almost felt....something. Insulted? No, that wasn't quite it. Heart broken? Sebastian shook his head ever so slightly, pushing his thoughts from the forefront of his mind to once again gain that suave exterior, fully intending to fill their vicinity with that attractive subconscious allure at the sound of Darien's hesitance.
Unfortunately, he hardly even got that far before the slam of the bar door behind them. It took Sebastian a moment to remember the english insult of the word 'faggot', especially when the word was so often thrown around in his homeland. In fact, his immediate reaction was to offer Darien's rather aggravated glimpse with a blank one of his own, failing to see the problem entirely before he felt Darien's hand drop from his hip. The corner of his lips twitched downwards ever so slightly and softly, the man inquired, "Darien?" He felt the movement behind them just as he heard the backpack fall upon the floor and slowly his own hand fell to his side as the fae turned to face the trio of drunken assaulters.
Sebastian should have anticipated what happened next. He should have been there to intervene. After all he certainly could have stepped in just in time but he'd forgotten what it was like to not be feared. He'd forgotten that prejudice still ran so rampant that talking in disapproving tones behind fluttering fans was no longer the worst it got. He heard the contact of fist to flesh, just as he watched in horror as Darien stumbled backwards and then....it was all too late. Sebastian could smell the blood that bubbled up around Darien's nose and suddenly that red substance became all that mattered to the vampire.
His normally bright eyes quite literally darkened, their hue shifting to something far deeper, blacker and more foreboding. He stepped forward almost within a trace towards the stumbled fae, his pale fingertips reaching out towards Darien. There was a hardly perceptible tremor to his usually steady hand as he slowly reached out for the man's hand, prying it away from his mouth till it was cradled ever so delicately within his own. His control, his so very careful control, had wavered, disappearing almost all together as Sebastian brought Darien's hand to his mouth. Tenderly and quite salaciously the vampire let his tongue lick the fae's palm, cherishing the taste of Darien's blood. God, it was as delicious as it smelled.
It was in this blood fueled trance that the world fell away, the vampire paying no attention to the businessmen or even Darien himself. His entire world existed of cleaning the boy's hand before his eyes drifted towards Darien's face, fully intending to too let his tongue run along Darien's upper lip. Unfortunately, Sebastian never quite got to make through his intentions, a hand falling on his shoulder though what the business man's intention was remained to be seen. He never quite got the chance to follow through, however, the moment Sebastian could hear the blood pumping through the fellow's veins his attention abruptly deviated. His hand caught the business man's with his far superior speed and strength, forcing it down and still as his mouth parted. Their assaulter hardly had a chance to react before Sebastian's mouth covered his wrist, his fangs biting into the tender flesh there in diligent search for the vein he knew rested just below the surface. Instantly, his venom coursed through the fellow's body, running along the same receptors that an orgasm did. The vampire's entire existence was for pleasure and even now, even to the man who least deserved it, his nature held true.
