East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

the sharpest lives are the deadliest to lead

He should have known to be cautious on his line of inquiry. However, it hadn't occurred to him that she might despise the possibility of immortality. Most mortals clung to life with such a passionate frenzy that to find themselves unable to age might caught a breath of relief - at least at the beginning perhaps. Then again, Tetradore had never particularly dwelled on his mortality much to begin with. If he was honest, he would admit to wishing for death far too many times in his life prior to this point. Death had seemed like such a sweet escape from the life of a captured and tamed pet. Still, he could not ignore the fashion at which she seemed entirely uncomfortable with the question, even if she tried to hide it and weakly the man offered her some attempt of a simper, equally as unable to hide the guilt and perhaps even pity that filled his placid soul. "I suppose so." He responded as she attempted to make light of the situation she found herself within and yet the man made particular care to not continue this line of conversation, instead falling into that comfortable silence he so seemed to hold with her.

At least, that was until she inquired about his own species' state of mortality. He offered her a small nod, "Age and die. Unlike most we're not that different from humans, except for the whole, being cursed thing." Tetradore shrugged off his eventual death far better than the fae at his side seemed to shrug off her inevitable life. After all, he'd come to terms with it years before and so discussing it hardly caused even a minor blip on his emotional radar. Instead, the man fell silent as he guided the vehicle smoothly downtown, putting the car into park after a fantastic parallel parking job in front of the cafe he'd previously mentioned. On a day like today, a day with the first good weather after a particularly stormy week, he was quite pleased to see the turnout of people loitering on the streets perusing the shop windows for trinkets for their lovers. This would do nicely indeed.

Tetradore stepped out of the car, glancing over at the young fae before nodding towards the cafe. "Why don't you find a table out here while I go get us something. I think they have teas if you want one?" He inquired, clearly remembering that evening when the female had attempted to offer him the rather refined beverage.
