The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

It took a moment of standing nervously in front of her boss for her to take in that Nadya had changed as well. Samantha smiled brightly, ignoring her own nervousness to look over the woman in front of her. "Nadya, you look amazing," She said sincerely, but the compliment was overtaken by the woman's own smile at Samantha's appearance. "You think this works?" Sam asked shyly, turning just slightly to examine herself in a nearby mirror. Even she had to admit that she looked decent in the clothing, but she wasn't quite sure that she'd ever have the confidence to wear it anywhere besides the burlesque. But Nadya seemed to have other plans. She couldn't help but smile as Nadya complimented her, though her real smile grew at the mention of Aiden. Looking at herself in the mirror, she looked positively radiant as she smiled happily. The blonde faerie had only just turned to see what her companion was doing when she heard the click of the camera. For a moment, Sam stood in confusion as she took in what had happened and the woman's words. At her realization, the color seemed to drain out of the little faerie's features. "Oh Nadya, don't send him that. Please," Her voice was pleading, though she knew she had to think of a reason for her plea in order to make Nadya listen. "I... I would rather see his reaction in person?"
Samantha had just turned her attention back to the mirror as Nadya had deemed the outfit a definite yes, curious as to what made it look so good on her. She looked nice in it, sure, but Samantha was the kind of girl that thought she looked good even in jeans and a hoodie. "I'll have to get some different shoes," She mused, pushing herself on her toes to see what the outfit would look like if she wore heels. To her surprise, it did make her legs look amazing. Her mind had just drifted back to what Aiden might think about it â€" she may be shy about it, but she wasn't completely against the idea of showing off for him â€" when Nadya insisted another outfit change. "Okay," Samantha said with the hint of a smile creeping into her face. The other outfits were equally pretty, and she had to admit that she didn't quite mind being Nadya's doll. "Do you have a preference for which..."
Samantha's voice trailed off as she too took in the infant in the stroller's little fusses. She'd spent too much time around the twins to not react to the noise, and her stomach dropped when she noticed that Nadya's full attention seemed to snap to the child. Even if she wasn't an empath, Samantha was positive she would have been able to feel the way that everything about Nadya seemed to fade. That same emotional chaos rose up in her and without thinking, Samantha closed the distance between them, her fingers wrapping around Nadya's wrist and giving her a pull towards the dressing room. "Okay," She said in response to Nadya's words, though they lacked any sentiment. With ease, Samantha pushed Nadya into the dressing room she'd just came out of, releasing the woman for a moment to collect Nadya's clothing from the one beside her. She came back, shutting the door behind them as she looked at Nadya, who was clearly losing her battle to control her shift. "You need to get out of that dress."
Samantha turned easily, helping Nadya unzip the black garment. She kept her touch soft and her voice soothing as though her presence alone could get Nadya through this. "We'll just get the outfits. All of them. I'll try them on at home and you can approve them there. But right now, I think we need to go." She stepped in front of the woman now, reaching up to gently brush Nadya's hair out of her face. Samantha offered her a small smile, her voice even softer as she spoke again. "I know this is really hard, and I know you miss them. But I know what a great mother you are, and if this is what you've had to do for them, then you're making the right choice. They'll be back with you soon, Nadya. Until then, you know they're safe."
The young faerie let go of the woman then, not taking her eyes off of her as she took off her own clothing, switching back into the jeans and t-shirt she'd worn in. A flash of disappointment gnawed at Sam as she caught her gaze in the mirror. Nadya was right: she looked far better in the nicer clothes. Still, Samantha didn't hesitate in gathering their things in her arms, reaching to grab Nadya's hand to pull her through the shop in an effort to steady the girl as they walked past the infant again. Samantha went straight to the counter, dropping the clothing in front of the register as she turned to the girl, giving her a smile. "Let's just pay, and then we'll go back to my apartment and you can relax, okay?"
