He had no idea if she was understanding anything he had told her. She was just staring at him like she was waiting on the other shoe to drop. For all he knew, everything he'd just said could have gone right over her head. But then he started to see emotions crossing her features. Confusion, then like she was really thoughtful. He gave her the time to think it over and then she asked if she should be like that. He tilted his head. "Like what? Like Isolt?" He blinked a few times in confusion himself then shook his head with a smirk. "You're perfect just the way you are, Anna. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise." She was a true vampire and he admired that about her. She had such power and she wasn't afraid to use it. She was smart and calculating and life was just a big game to her. She looked up at him then, telling him that Sebastian was broken. He scowled at the thought of the other vampire from the coven meeting. Something about Sebastian just didn't rub him right. Maybe it was the way he looked at Isolt. Or the way he acted possessive over Anna like she was an object to him, something he wanted nothing to do with but at the same time, no one else could look after her. It was wrong on so many levels. He tilted his head. "Broken? How so?" At her question, he considered for a moment then shrugged. "It's a possibility. If he's like Isolt and has more humanity than necessary, then yeah, he might think you've changed and accept you more. But you have to pull it off, be an actress. It has to look natural." His features softened as he watched her think on it. He liked Anna just the way she was but he would help her anyway he could. He saw her as a child in some ways but he knew that was just a shell. She was really a very powerful very ancient being compared to him. She had seen much more than he had and he could probably learn a lot from her too. When she asked him to show her, he nodded. "Sure." |
