She didn't wonder how the monster got here or why it was here in the first place. She learned more and more with each passing day just how big and mysterious the world was and jsut how much she had left to learn. This monster was just another puzzle she was helping to solve one way or another. When he asked about her health, she only gave him attitude and in return, he said something about a smartass. She scowled thoughtfully for a moment before nodding. "I'll take that as a compliment." She decided matter of factly before she went back to attacking the monster. After all, he had said smart and she knew that was a good thing. She didn't know what an ass had to do with it but it had to be some kind of human slang and she didn't know all those yet. Not even close. She noted the accent in his voice but she had been hearing many of those lately. Apparently everyone spoke a little different. She glanced up as she smelled blood, seeing the fresh wounds on his arm. His blood had a weird smell to it, like it had something in it. She could see a shimmery substance to it and her nose twitched, her brows furrowed in curiosity, but now wasn't the time to ask about it. She doubled her efforts of really pissing off the beast, trying not to leave him open to anymore attacks. She certainly didn't want to have to carry him away from this. She watched as he put something in the beast, at least that's what it looked like. Then he yelled now at her and she tried her best to dismount from the monster's back, even as it hunched over, trying to claw at itself. Hm, that's weird, she thought to herself as she landed nimbly on her feet in a crouch and went straight into a run, brushing past him with ease. She glanced back to make sure he was coming too. After all, she wasn't about to leave him to get all the glory on taking down this beast. She wanted in on it too! The heavy footfalls gave her a bad feeling though and when she looked back, sure enough the monster was coming after them. Her brows raised, her gaze sweeping to his in a "now what?" look. She kept running but was ready in case he turned back to fight again. Finally they slowed down and she looked back again to see the smirk on his face. "What are you smirking about? You just had me run from a decent fight." She sulked right before a giant bang shook the ground. She braced herself, looking around in alarm until she saw the creature had exploded and now chunks of meat and flesh were flying everywhere. She wrinkled her nose as a piece landed on her shoulder and she felt globs of blood land in her hair, a little piece brushing her cheek as it flew past. She scowled at him even as he said that, like the explosion was the answer to everything. Her brow raised. She was about to say something smart but about that time, a piece hit him right in the face and she doubled over laughing. "Now, that was a good one? Can I get a repeat?" She snorted. She glanced over as he said something about clean up, her head tilting. "The buzzards will get it. What person in their right mind would clean that?" She shook her head as if he should know these things. She didn't know about public places and how people were actually tasked with keeping them presentable. The whole thing would seem laughable to her. She had calmed down in the time they'd been talking, her claws turning back into hands and her glowing blue eyes dulled back to her natural brown. She wiggled her toes as if to make sure they were still there and only then did she take in his cuts. "You need to get those looked at. And what's up with your blood? It's like....shiny." She reached out a finger as if to poke the wound but stopped short. At his own question, she scoffed and shook her head. "Of course not. I shift full coyote. I can half shift when my adrenaline's pumping." She wiped her bloody fingers on her pants, wondering how Frost would feel about her sneaking in to take a shower looking like this. No doubt he'd think she killed someone and was running from the law. |
